We are recruiting better and playing worst.
We may be hiring and retaining coaches based more on their recruiting chops than their coaching ability. And if we are, we are far from the only one in college football doing that.

Just can't see what it is that make people think he would pan out. Just the throwing mechanics alone should have been the red flag.I think, sadly, this could be correct.
I wasn’t too sold on him and I think many will remember that. But then, his last 6-7 games of his senior year I thought he showed tremendous progress! I assumed that was an indication and he would continue to improve. Unfortunately, it appears little improvement has occurred. Hopefully, he can kick on and become amazing.
Not sure where else to put this...... WHO said that Gary?
Maybe it is a typo and he said 800 yards?
someone pointed earlier that this is the point where he usually loses his "chili" in the pressers, etc. but it his hard to tell. sometimes he just gets sarcastic. He says so much bizarre stuff. Yeah the defense played fine, but we lost Gary...... little else matters.
Obviously something Gary Patterson need to correct quickly or it's going to happen again.
I’m not sure the play calling and supporting cast would allow Collins to be any better.
Someone has to admit that SR is not a QB. find him another position or let him transfer

Until he stops throwing off of his back foot, bad things will continue to happen in the passing game. next time he throws a pass while stepping backwards, he should be benched, to make a point.Dudes, some of his throws were just so awful, damn near laughable.
You hold a team such as Tech to 17, you dam well should win the game!He needs to think the same way about HIS offense.
Meaning, make up stuff to motivate them.

The frustrating thing about SR is that he makes lots of real nice throws... and then follows them up with horrible throws, misses wide open receivers, etc. I'll guarantee the solution ain't Collins. The coaches see him practice and play every day, and he hasn't exactly lit it up when he's had a chance for us.
I believe our offensive problems have more to do with O line play and Gary not playing Sewo and Darius in the 4th quarter suggests we've got some issues there as well...
