I'm a mediocre cook, but I like the Food Network. The Tournament of Champions VI just started and the first two to compete - Rocco DiSpirito and Tim Love! Tim has never competed here before, and Rocco is all over the Food Network.
Tim lost, and wasn't real gracious about it.
On Mondays. Fun to watch.

Chef Tim Love competed on The Next Iron Chef: Redemption and won a battle against Japanese Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto on Iron Chef America.

It's on Sundays. Yeah, you could tell Tim wasn't happy about losing!

We saw CapAm Brave New World yesterday. Probably bc my expectations were low I walked out thinking I had not wasted my time. OK set up for assembly of the New Avengers, I guess. Give it a B-

Does anyone have an early reaction to Mickey 17? I’m considering it if it rains tomorrow

Lastly, I notice the Cate Blanchett/Mchael Fassbender spy movie Black Bag is getting good preliminary reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. I love a good British Spy movie so I’m likely to see it at some point

Mickey 17 is rediculous.. And fun. If you like weird movies you should enjoy it. It's got a goofy tone which I didn't expect.

We started Severance a few weeks ago. I am on about episode 7 and I am more confused than I was when it started. It reminds me a bit of the depressing feeling that Silo had. I feel like I need a more cheery show to watch.
It isn’t all people make it out to be.

I could watch Cate Blanchett fold socks for two hours.

A Complete Unknown was terrific. A great beginning with Dylan visiting Guthrie and Seeger in the hospital and then Seeger at home. The singing scenes were amazing and were all performed live; not pre-recorded in studio and then lip-synced. Monica Barbaro’s (Joan Baez) voice was great, especially when singing with Chalamet. They got the casting correct with those two and Ed Norton and Elle Fanning. A very good biopic.

The only movie currently out that I have any interest in. Just no time.

This is an old one but just discovered by Steel, a limited series called The Sinner - mystery/procedural. So far only on second episode but real good so far. Bill Pullman.

There isn't much good out there so Steel ends up re-watching Deadwood, Breaking Bad, Sopranos etc. Don't watch much anything anyways cause not a lot of watching time.

They were all robbed of Oscars. Ed Norton, especially. Man, he nailed Pete Seger.
