Gonna need a review from Stefan’ first.Has anyone watched Barry with Bill Hader? Started it last week and we’re about four episodes in. I really love Bill Hader’s quirky comedy. So far, so good.
Never thought we’d get another one of these but I’m here for it.
Tron: Ares
The hate for the second one wasn’t deserved imo. I loved it. Perfect balance of new and old, cool story, great cast, and a fantastic score by daft punk. Yeah, the CGI of Jeff Bridges’ Clu was pretty awful, but I always like to think it’s because Clu was an “imperfect” copy of Flynn. (I know…nerd alert lol)I’d like to be here for it, but afraid it’s just one more thing I loved for Disney to ruin.
Is she invoking Morganna?Mobland on paramount plus. British gangsters show. Two episodes in, not bad but not great great. Helen Mirren’s character is malevolently psychotic.
She’s the head gangster’s (Pierce Brosnan actually) wife. Her relationship with her grandson is interesting. Is she invoking Morganna?
She had malevolent psychotic down pat since Excalibur over 40 years ago.
I think you might be right. The show could be much better with a different female lead. Her eyes bother me for some reason. Just empty voids. The Last of Us. Everything is perfect EXCEPT the lead actress. I thought Selena Gomez was bad. I loved her in Game of Thrones, but it appears like she has only one style.
LTNS. Thought of you the other day when I saw a photo of you from the College Station Regional. You were eating something from the concession stand. The Last of Us. I watched The Residence E1 last night. Tbh it was a struggle but I plan to hang in there. Lots of series need a couple of episodes to get up and runningAny love for The Residence on NF? A murder mystery comedy in the Clue tradition. Good for a few laughs per episode.
Also, The Bookie on Prime. Solid comedy series.
Leslie Nielsen had an extensive Soap Opera career including One Life to LiveNielsen was a serious actor and was reluctant to do Airplane because it was so silly. I read that, once he heard Robert Stack signed on, he felt better about it. I think I also read that he never again did a serious movie role after that in his career. Not sure if that was by choice ( I think it was) or because he got pigeon holed as a comedic actor for silly movies.
He became a master of that genre. Will be interesting to see what happens with Neeson. It certainly does not fit his usual persona.
