Was I supposed to type something here?
Memory: The Origins of Alien. On Prime. A documentary exploring the origins one of the few movies to get under my skin when released in ‘79. A young, talented director named Ridley Scott, the art of Francis Bacon and HR Giger, ancient Pazuzu mythology, 1950’s comic books and the work of Dan O’Bannon. Fascinating stuff.
Heh. Francis Bacon...

Knowledge is Power. France is Bacon.

No. He did a Tracy Morgan impersonation on Black Jeopardy…standing right next to Tracy Morgan. It was pretty good. Then he played a prisoner in a scared straight program that was really funny. Will Ferrell recreated his unusually short shorts for that skit, which was a big hit.

I think he and Lorne Michaels were at odds for many years because they spoofed him on something. I’m thinking it was David Spade that lampooned him pretty good and he took offense.

Might have potential.

There are actually people that have a decreased or limited ability to feel pain. It is a curse that no one would want. It impairs your bodies ability to avoid injury. Additionally, people with diabetes can develop peripheral neuropathy and lose sensation in their feet and lower legs. This will wreak havoc on people's feet when their neuropathy becomes so bad. They can literally have horrible injuries and infections in their feet and feel zero pain. It gets so bad that they frequently end up with gangrene and amputations.

I’ve heard of that before. Didn’t know that about the losing feeling in the lower body, that’s rough. I remember seeing where they have to be extremely careful when participating in any type of athletic activity to ough because they would hardly ever know when they were hurt or not.

The best thing going right now is the Tom Green documentary on Prime and accompanying the reality show that captures his move back to Canada and his renovation of an old farm. The comedy special was pretty good too. Still funny as ever. Brilliant comedic timing. He's even released some music that isn't half bad.

Loved his show way back in the day. May have to check this out.

The late, great Jackie Gleason’s last film, with a young Tom Hanks & always lovely Sela Ward and Bess Armstrong—enjoy Nothing in Common.

edit: the 80’s music is just a bonus.

Really kind of makes you wonder why "Nothing in Common" is not on regular re-circulation on cable. I will speculate that Sela Ward's southern roots/faith along with Gleason's portrayal of a southern Nube sheriff in Smokey movies had a little something to do with it. Nothing is one of my favorite top 50 movies.

We started Severance a few weeks ago. I am on about episode 7 and I am more confused than I was when it started. It reminds me a bit of the depressing feeling that Silo had. I feel like I need a more cheery show to watch.
Elementary, previously on CBS, unknown if streaming, definitely worth DVD box set, all 7 seasons.

I'm a mediocre cook, but I like the Food Network. The Tournament of Champions VI just started and the first two to compete - Rocco DiSpirito and Tim Love! Tim has never competed here before, and Rocco is all over the Food Network.
Tim lost, and wasn't real gracious about it.
On Mondays. Fun to watch.
