FWST: When evaluating coach Jamie Dixon, be sure to check the records at both TCU and Pittsburgh

Embarrassing. Was thinking had a decent chance to finish above .500 in Big 12 and instead go 1-4 down the stretch to finish 9-11.

Had a chance to avoid playing on Tuesday at the Big 12 Tournament it fell apart down the stretch.

Love all Dixon has done but he really needs to be evaluated. Just don't see how this team is going to be better next season.

Yeah, I was on the “don’t fire Dixon” train earlier. But with the way they’ve played down the back stretch when they NEEDED to win against very beatable teams, and the outright atrocious shooting all season with no player showing any sign of progress in his game, I think Jamie is on the hot seat next year. When you’re in a rebuilding year you need to show that you’re improving, and they just aren’t. I really think he needs to hire a new staff around him, because it’s just been a string of the same issues that haven’t improved whatsoever. Either they did an awful job scouting these guys, or they can’t coach them for crap.

Losing that game is a fireable offense.

9th season in a row without a winning conference record. People are okay with this?

Yeah we really blew a golden opportunity after knocking off Tech. Good grief. Five games left against teams who were all behind us or level in the standings... Yuck. We'd be lucky to make the NIT at this rate.

And it’s not just that we lost…we got blown out in the three easiest winnable games. I said this in another thread, but Dixon either needs to ask 3-4 players to look elsewhere in the offseason, or fire his assistants for not being able to coach them. Or both.

Turns out knocking off a top 10 team at home was our Super Bowl and we immediately got hit with the hangover. The dozens of our fans rushing the court obviously did not sit well with the bball gods.

I really don't get it... I watch a TON of college basketball... Whether it's the MVC, the WCC, the whatever C.... I see guys that can shoot... We can't lure a few of those kids to a Big 12 school with hot women and some NIL?

Also, has anyone followed Peavy at Georgetown this year? Guy is a scoring machine to go along with high defensive skills ... Why do scorers come here to die?.. Or non-scorers leave here and become offensive weapons? Peavy? LeDee?

The Big East has several young guys that are starters, good shooters, and came from our back yard.

I’m not on the fire Dixon wagon but if he does leave or is let go then I think, and I know some will berate me perhaps, that a serious run needs to be made to convince Campbell to switch to men’s ball. He seems to be able to recruit extremely well and he’s shown he can coach super well thus far. And he already knows TCU. Just my two cents.
