Fire Joe Gillespie

Hodges it wasn’t Gillespie’s fault…

Ouch. I imagine he’s not very popular in the locker room right now. He’s trying to step up to be the leader, but this could easily go horribly wrong for him.

Was I supposed to type something here?

Well, that's nice of him. I think "Laughingstock of College Football" is entirely appropriate, and ought to be printed up on t-shirts for the Coaching Staff and Team to wear this week.

Jesus…if he had prepared the players for what Colorado did, as Hodges asserts, then we have some of the poorest defensive players in all the nation.

Nobody in the locker room views him as a leader…not sure why he would stick his neck out for Gillespie st this point…

I would think they limit Hodges media time going forward.

This is such a stupid take. That QB played at JS by choice. He was also throwing to the #1 prospect in all of college football last year which quite possibly might be the single best college football player in the country. TCU has never in its history recruited a player as highly ranked as their best player. Ever.
#1 prospect as a CB, not a WR. BTW there are lots of moving parts to completing a pass. Those ”parts” came from 100 different places, I stand by what I said.

I spend less than 0 time chasing the wagging tail of recruiting but a 10 second search shows TCU has a 5 star RB.

Why, they need more of that kind fire?
I think it cuts both ways. Saying they missed assignments and that the DC did what he needed to do might light a fire to prove the world wrong. Saying that players on the team were afraid to hit and tackle might light a fire in his locker. He better play perfect football on Saturday.

They had 90 yards rushing if you remove the 38 taken from the total for sacks. Additionally, their starting RB had 135 receiving on plays that were largely an extension of the run game.
Like I said, 55 yards rushing for a 1.6ypc average. Colorado could not run the ball. Period

actually, they really didn't worry about running the ball much

in his book leach talks about a balanced offense is one that attacks all areas of the field and spreads the ball around

that is what cu did on saturday
