Stay at 16 and see what happens with ACC. Might end up getting FSU and Clemson.
Could change if the smoke is coming from crack pipes and the school presidents lose their dang minds.Lots of smoke. So far the schools are voting it down, but that could change.
Big 12 presidents pitched on potential UConn addition, but lack of consensus likely to prolong decision
CBS Sports verified that six Big 12 schools are in favor of adding the Huskies if a vote were taken todaywww.cbssports.com
NOI wrote an email to Brett Yormak today suggesting thet we trade WVU, UCF, and Cinn, for Cal, Stanford, and SMU and rebrand the conference as The Southwest Conference. Makes sense regionally for both us and the ACC. Plus SWC would make us sound like a conference that makes sense, like the SEC....on paper anyway.
AS they say in "Dances with Wolves"....good trade!

Completely agree Storrs is a horrible trip but the Football stadium (at least for now) is off-campus in East Hartford and is far easier to access than Storrs and the BB teams still play a lot of games @the XL Center in Hartford. The strategy should be at the end of the day get FSU, Clemson, and hope
ND comes along after UVA and NC leave.
UConn is just a beating to get to, trust me. I dread the trip up there. Nice and pretty up there, but no thanks.
And flying into Hartford is way more expensive than flying into Queens. Still don't belong in the Big 12 and the UConn BB people who drive the bus are strongly aginst this.
Sorry I just thoght you were talking about the actual trek to Storrs not flights. Hopefully it remains a moot point. And flying into Hartford is way more expensive than flying into Queens. Plus car rental on both
So a regional logic, and a name change makes less sense to you that going after schools that don't want us, or a nice trip to see tha Fall Foliage? The strategy should be at the end of the day get FSU, Clemson, and hope

SMU? SMU? Find this man some help!I wrote an email to Brett Yormak today suggesting thet we trade WVU, UCF, and Cinn, for Cal, Stanford, and SMU and rebrand the conference as The Southwest Conference. Like + 4.....SMU? SMU? Find this man some help!
Yea, Yea, we all hate SMU. Texas hates A&M too, but it's a better regional fit than Cinncinatti...SMU? SMU? Find this man some help!

The ACC is NOT going to just blow up any day.Wait on UCONN, they aren't going anywhere. The ACC could blow up any day. See who the B1GSEC take and then who is left. Maybe we take 2 teams, maybe none. Point is to kill the ACC the cheapest way possible. If losing FSU, CLEM, UVA & UNC is enough to demote the ACC into G5 status then our work is done.
