I believe the knock on Manny used to be that his defenses were effective against spreads and what not but down hill running teams with fullbacks and running QBs rendered him helpless.

Not a HC move but an interesting one...Okie Light OC for the last 6 years Mike Yurcich reportedly heading to Ohio St to be their Co-OC/QB coach...He’s the guy that Gundy went to Div2 to get roughly 6 years ago. He is an Ohio native..and was making about 60% LESS then Cumbie...

Rumour on the Okie Light OC...Appears they have reached out Larry Fedora and Todd Munken. Both guys were at Ok St early in their careers. Everyone wants Munken who was fired as OC of the Tampa Bucs..As bad as the Bucs were this year they had one of the top 5 offenses in football. He’ll get plenty of NFL opportunities

Having said all that...Most believe the actual next OC is already on staff. He’s Josh Henson the current OL coach who is young and very well liked

This is a good hire for WVU...Consider the new blood in the Big 12 over the last 3 -4 years and it’s easy to see we are no longer going to be a sling it around league..Outside of OU and OSU we are going to be pretty balanced and physical when it’s all said and done
