Winning the Rose Bowl was great but it did not have a moment like Matt Curry's Grand Slam in the CWS. That is my greatest moment

I have to say it was this game for me as well. As far as one moment goes, the grand slam was amazing. You take the whole Rose Bowl Experience and what it means, yes, that is greater, but as far as one, single moment. Nothing beats being present for that grand slam. The place went nuts! 8 in the 8th!

This is really tough, but I would have to say Jamie Dixon's "shot heard around the world" against Texas to win the game. I was only 14 years old but was at the game and never nor never will forget it. Daniel Meyer was freaking ELECTRIC! Plus it was UT
Tank's "Immaculate Deflection" is right up there as well along with Curry's grand slam.

Hard to pick just one...so I won't. But at the very top:
Rose Bowl victory. As the old saying goes "you woulda have to have been there"! Never felt the combination of joy, shock, fatigue, exhilaration.
The Shot against UT by Dixon.
Being in the TCU fans at Waco when TCU beat Baylor for the SWC basketball crown.
The double-overtime basketball win against Tulsa in '98. Lots of good memories of Billy Ball. And of Killerball...the game didn't start until he took off his jacket and looked like hell!
The atmosphere in the Beau Rivage casino after TCU beat ECU in the '99 Mobile Bowl: "How about them Frogs!"
The aforementioned home run in the CWS, which I saw on TV.
And, a totally meaningless game in the broad scheme... TCU coming back late to beat Oky State at ACS in 1990. It was followed by Revo's "go ahead and take my press credentials" editorial, because he enjoyed the game so much.

3 different highs...
The grand slam at that particular moment was as electrifying a TCU play as I have ever witnessed (on TV).
The Sun Bowl was more the deep, long term high with expectations of, say, first parenthood. A dazed "We did it now what?" sort of feeling.
The Rose Bowl? More of an Oscar or other deserved award. You've worked hard and suceeded for a long time, you know you're close and in the running but you just don't really know till the enveope is opened.

Rose bowl win is highly rated and probably the top game, but not the top single moment. (2314 will appreciate this)
Walking out of the stadium back to campus after the game and seeing the UT players on the bus (still dirty) leaving the stadium after losing.

Without a doubt the best single moment was at the Rose Bowl when Waymon James got the first down and I knew for certain that the FROGS HAD WON THE FREAKIN ROSE BOWL!!!!!!

Nothing. Nothing will ever top the rose bowl, but the last 3 innings of game 3 against the horns last season to earn a trip to omaha were fantastic. All day, and all game I set myself up for defeat, hoping to not be too dissapointed. And all game I'd have little superstitions, and bit of all of my fingernails in the process. I almost sports cried when we got the final out.

So many to choose from but at least one in each major sport in no particular order. These were all blood rushing to the head, wild screaming, wife looking at with you embarrassment type of moments.
1. Jamie Dixon's shot against UT (hadn't met my wife here yet which is probably good or she would have thought I was a lunatic)
2. Matt Curry's HR in CWS (neighbors checked in on us making sure we were alright, been married for 15 years at this point too late to back out graciously for her)
3. Tank Carder's knockdown on the 2 point conversion in the RB (looked over at wife and she is high fiving both the entire row in front and behind me screaming so loud she made me look like an amateur, that's when I knew she was all in which I guess means she's also decided to keep me)

Great thread. In terms of best single moment, there are a ton that have already been mentioned. But as an overall event, the Rose Bowl not only was the best TCU event but the best athletic event I have been a part of. TCU could win 5 national championships and not top the overall emotions that were felt before, during, and after this particular game.

I was waiting for someone to mention the Super Regional. In my relatively short time following TCU (05 Grad) I've witnessed some great moments, and that one is definitely in my top 3. Being able to beat the Horns at their place to get to the CWS for the first time is hard to beat. Not to mention, it was a great game. Having said that, the Rose Bowl, CWS, Clemson and Utah (09 with Gameday and 10) were all incredible. It's really hard to rank, but I'd probably go with Rose Bowl, Super Regional, CWS, Clemson, Utah 09 and Utah 10.
