TCU Men's Tennis 2022-23

TCU’s post-match article from yesterday, stated—
TCU played the match without three-time ITA doubles All-American Luc Fomba, yet the personnel loss did not disrupt TCU's outward doubles chemistry.

But no further details there or in the singles reporting.

Fomba on the court after Fearnley's win. Had a sleeve on the left leg and seemed to be limping slightly.

Since it look like we're well on our way I'll indulge myself and look ahead. Fortunately with our seeding we'll be heavy favorites next weekend at home vs either Miss State or MTSU even without Fomba. Then another few days off before Orlando if we make it. So hopefully if Fomba's not ready next weekend we can still manage, and maybe he can be ready in time for QFs on the 18th.

Frogs need one more, up 3-0.

a great deal of teeth gnashing for a match that ended up in a sweep
A great deal? If tcu basketball had to play a 1 seed instead of a 3 in the second round, we'd have all been beside ourselves. That's about how far off the pairing was in this matchup. Given that's the case, I don't think this board really made a big fuss over it.

We can all be happy the Frogs played awesome and made it a non issue.

besides ourselves? some, yes, but a good deal no,

so frogs and ags were going to have to play potentially 7 matches am i right?

Haha, i will take that bet on the 1st point. I don't have nearly as much experience outside the tennis thread as you or many others here, but I've generally gotten the sense that the board is not known for its measured responses.

Initially I just pointed out the seeding was off based on what you would normally expect. That kicked off some back and forth with people who disagreed. Most of my posts on the topic were just explaining why I saw it as being off, not going on and on about it being a major travesty.

And yes, tennis duals are best of 7 with 6 singles and 1 doubles point. The match today was a total annihilation.
