TCU Men's Tennis 2022-23

#7 Michigan is next in the quarterfinal at Orlando on May 18. I hope Fomba can practice this week and be 100%.

“Michigan beat Southern California on Friday afternoon 4-3 in a thriller at the Varsity Tennis Center in Ann Arbor to stay alive in the postseason.

Top singles player Ondrej Styler, the Big Ten Player of the Year, won his 15th straight match to clinch the victory, coming back to win 5-7, 6-3, 6-6 (7-5) against Stefan Dostanic. Ondrej fell behind 4-1 in the tiebreak but found a way; Dostanic double-faulted to end the match. Styler’s teammates mobbed him on the outdoor court.”

The Horned Frogs are up against seven state flagships. Three SEC schools—Georgia, Kentucky and South Carolina, plus soon to be SEC, Texas. Two Big Ten schools from states with cold and sloppy winters and springs, Michigan and Ohio State. And defending champion, Virginia.

So delayed bc of rain until the morrow. Does this push every match of the bracket back a day or just condense it into fewer days? Gotta think all matches crammed into fewer days helps us with our depth.

They are pushing the semi’s to Saturday and the final to Sunday. Tonight, the Texas/South Carolina and Virginia/Kentucky quarterfinals were nearing the finish of the first set of singles. Texas and Kentucky won the doubles point. They resume tomorrow morning at 9 central time and the TCU/Michigan and Ohio State/Georgia matches follow at about 11:30 central.
