TCU Athletics wants you to know you don't mean [ Finebaum ] to them

I am pulling out this supposed moving of our home game with UNC to Ireland. I want the TCU Athletics mucks who monitor this board to see it.

What a bunch of malarkey BS this is (if true). Once again, the season ticket holders don't mean a flying scheiss to TCU officials and your money and support can kiss their ass.

I am tired of our marquee home games being sent to Jerry's World or now overseas. Why didn't they send this year's game to Ireland? Seems like this one would be the key game to send. Perhaps UNC has bigger stones than we do and told them (ESPN) not no but hell no.

We seem to always be all too eager to move our biggest home games out of our stadium and season ticket package. Oh but dont worry, those with the higher priority points will get first shot at those $200 tickets.

So season ticket holders, all of you loyalists for decades, scheiss off and enjoy your home games with Tarleton, UCF and Cincinnati and pay your higher season ticket fees and shut up.

Massive stage for a Week Zero game and presumably against Bill Belichick in year 2 of his tenure at UNC. I wouldn't be mad about it.

August 23rd the Big 12 conference season kicks off with KSU vs ISU in Dublin in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic. In 2027 they have Pitt-Wisconsin. They yet to have teams scheduled for 2026 so this may have legs

@ECM - We like to attend games at TCU.
Yeah, but if you can't, a Week Zero game that will probably draw 3-4M viewers and put more money in the school's coffers isn't a bad setup IMO. It's also an awesome trip if you can make it. These are first world problems

You also get an extra bye week during the season

Looks like Ireland will be a next big expansion team (College o' Leprechaun) member for the Big 12.....

And with no legitimate big-school home games, it might be hard for boosters to want to ante up more and more NIL money....

Was I supposed to type something here?
Mrs. Brewingfrog, myself, and two other vintage Frogs traveled to Ireland just about a year ago. It was absolutely lovely, the food was excellent, the Guinness was tasty, and the Whiskey divine. Best thing we did was leave Dublin and see the countryside. We would love to return.

That being said, I am not keen on this switcheroo thing. Sure, the Admin is giddy about pulling in $ for it, but it is a slap in the face of Frog fans who don't have the money to travel, or who are interested in a potential Big Game early on in the season. Instead, it gets yanked away, and the fans get nothing.

The tOSU switcheroo was a flaming disaster. Sure, the Admin got $5 million for it, but the Frogs and TCU lost out on a potential National Level Game which the Frogs would have won at ACS. The season fell apart following that game, and the Frogs never really recovered. CDC made a boneheaded decision solely for the money, and lost the greater prize in the process.

Same thing with the LSU home and home. And they were very close to doing it with Arkie too.
