We can't take SMU lightly and honestly I hope SMU is good this year so if we beat them it will make the Frogs resume appear better.
We should never take any of our opponents lightly. And, our hopes are to defeat a ranked team every week. Still, I only have one thing to say about smu…scheiss THOSE GUYS!!
GO FROGS!
BEAT EVERYBODY!
Spit Blood~~<~<and frack baylor!!

I want SMU to do poorly since they are now competing with TCU for recruits - their recruiting is already ranked similarly. I don’t want them succeeding to further fuel booster and program enthusiasm, NIL and recruiting. I don’t want them getting the national spotlight as the more successful school in DFW during this time of realignment.

SMU has done a great job of taking blue chip players that were unhappy at current school via portal.

Parr Logan (SR- OL) was the #34 overall recruit in Texas. Played a lot at UT but didn’t really make it to starter role. I’m sure SMU is thrilled to have an experienced Sr transfer that was a blue chip recruit.

Reminds me of Garret Gilbert. QB went to UT from winning state at lake Travis. Dude was a 5-star recruit. He was Gatorade and USA Today best HS foootball player of the year. At UT he sat on the bench, started one 5-7 season, then back to bench. He transferred to SMU. Smoo would’ve never gotten a recruit like that from HS. Gilbert started 23 games at Smoo and got drafted #216 and spent 8 yrs in the league.

With guys like Manning sitting on the bench at UT, there is still hope for TCU/SMU. Hard making a living from others leftovers. Maybe HS recruits will start to value playing time more.

Sadly this is true, mainly because SMU is throwing a [ Finebaum ] load of money around. they need to get crushed on the field.

I sat next to four SMU football players at Torchy Taco this week. Good service/average taco. Anyway, these guys are huge. I’m sure every P5 school has giant lineman so they’re not special but damn. It’s not often you see four guys together that are around 6’5 and 300 pounds. I see those numbers alot as a fan but different in real life.

Where they jacked or fat? Back in Pardee's first year at UH they bragged about having the biggest OL in the SWC at like 290 (yes that's dated). Several of their starters had bellies dunlapping way over their belts. Frogs got about 9 sacks that day.

PJ Williams
Justin Osbourne
Nate Anderson
Savion Byrd
are the stars they are excited about. But that Oline has quite a bit of size behind them.

Great question. I almost added to this post. They were definitely athletic. Which is all the more rare to see four giant, athletic guys irl
