Renderings of the new TCU Hotel

  1. Renderings of TCU's on campus hotel. The 5 floor structure will contain 150 rooms, 4,000 sqft of ballroom space, a rooftop bar, and an outdoor pool. A restaurant will be adjacent to the structure, serving the hotel and general public. Possibly to be run by Hyatt. Screen Shot 2018-05-14 at 8.12.23 PM.png

  2. I'm being told Sandage & Berry . . . it is a parking lot now.
  3. Is the hotel just a business venture TCU hopes to turn a profit on? Or is there some other reasons why this is a good idea?
  4. Dallas area.
  5. Looks great! We will book. Roof top bar better be the best in Fort Worth. Should have a great view.

  6. On first glance I read the thread title as 'helmet' rather than 'hotel'. I had forgotten we are building a hotel, and I am very glad to hear that we aren't getting any more helmets, though I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

  7. What is that building behind it?

  9. TCU is leasing the land to a private venture. The school has no economic stake in the hotel other than receiving lease payments.
  10. So it’s way over by Paschall HS?
  11. Will the Pizza Hut deliver to the hotel?

  12. If not the walk is doable...
  13. A very favorable rendering of the methodist church?
  14. We have long needed a nice hotel walking distance from campus IMO.

  15. A place for people to stay close to campus.

I think that might be a benefit they are going for.
  16. This is TCU...everything they do is designed to turn a profit...and so they should...
  17. I smell a former TCU student :). I count about three blocks to campus.

  18. It seems to me the largest draw for this hotel would be football weekends and putting it as far away as possible as opposed to closer to the stadium just seems counter intuitive...
