OT: Who will be the next Dallas Cowboys Coach? And will it matter?

They just said during halftime of the Rams-Vikings that the Cowboys have been in contact with Deion.
I think the only way DS would come is to coach a son. That would require trading DP I think to move way up. IMO that would have been an awesome idea w the Commanders last year for a MUCH better Qb than Sanders, with Jayden Daniels.

Cowboys moving forward with historically diverse coach

TodayThe Dallas Cowboys have had a noticeable lack of diversity in their head coaching hires. But it sounds like there's a chance that the trend could be changing in the near future.

According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Cowboys are moving forward with the interview process for former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh.

“The Cowboys have interest in and are expected to interview former Jets coach Robert Saleh for the vacant head coach position, source said. Would be their first known request,” Rapoport said in a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

I don’t care if the new Cowpoke coach is green as long he can put them back on a winning path. If they hire just to check some kind of diversity box, they will continue to be America’s Losers…

This is not a terrible idea. The Cowboys’ D needs a total makeover & he can coach that side of the ball. I’d imagine that watching TCU shoot FTs is just as nauseating as watching the Cowboy defense play pass coverage………………except I laugh like hell watching the action on the football field.

It's called "The Rooney Rule" and it's an embarrassment. People should be considered for their merits, not to check off a box.

Whatever happens, rest assured that Jerruh will make the wrong choice.

Jerra can’t or doesn’t think he can afford Sark. IMHO.
Sarkisian talk needs to Calma. Does anybody remember his tenure at USC excuse me Wash U? He went to Alabama and became an Analyst like that other heralded analyst. Mike Locksley. As a reminder he is not "Sark" a supposition of a coach's name suggests at a minimum HE is good. UT has been blessed with incredible talent, particularly in the last 3 years. Jahdae Baron ( Thorpe Award winner or some other DB award as well as Colin Simmons- freshman All american DE were leaning toward TCU) they went to BEVO because of their hype on hype.

If you have a spare minute take a look at the 2022 pregame TCU Texas game where Sarkisian is punching players in the chest like an 8th grade gargoyle. He is at best FCS mediocrity and should be coaching at some school like UCONN. Sarkisio Esta es un Cabeza de Pina.

A pineapple head? Creo que se falta un "g".

I'm not advocating for him or anyone else, I don't have an opinion of him one way or another, and the Cows are my second favorite team so I don't really care that much... but to me it's bizarre to say he's a terrible coach (much less guilt by association w Locksley). He's had some success, and I thought it was pretty common knowledge that his lean years corresponded with times he didn't have his personal life in order.

I never said he was a terrible coach. I simply said he does not have the cortex to run a professional football team. If you had a billions dollar colossus would you hire him to operate? He is a nice guy some dude we would all get along with. If you laser light observed the last 3 games he coached, time management and play calling with Jaydon Blue calls for ?s

Has Ben Johnson said NO to the Cowboys? Surprised no one mentioned that name.
I read in the athletic that Johnson interviewed with the raiders cuz Brady personally asked him. Brady hopes to hire him & then the two of them will pick the gm after that.
