Oh, you're one of those guys. Incapable of looking more than an inch deep. What are you talking about? He owns a .538 overall winning percentage and a .388 winning percentage as a P5 coach.

He had a worse record at UT than Sonny Dykes has at freaking SMU.Sure, a young coach with an overall .711 winning percentage and a 5-1 bowl record sounds just scheissing terrible right about now.
LMAO at losing his douchiness. Zero chance.I really can't believe this doesn't get more traction. Maybe getting knocked down a peg or two has taught him some things. I think Herman has a much higher ceiling than Dykes, can recruit better, and hopefully has lost his douchiness.
Dig a little deeper and see how many of those Dykes wins were against the likes of Houston Baptist, SFA, University of North Texas, UConn etc.He had a worse record at UT than Sonny Dykes has at freaking SMU.
We probably are comparing oranges to apples. Herman also had 4 and 5 star recruits and Sonny didn't. Personally from what I have heard about Herman, I really don't think he's the one we need at TCU. Winning is great, but there are other factors involved.Dig a little deeper and see how many of those Dykes wins were against the likes of Houston Baptist, SFA, University of North Texas, UConn etc.
No ideaDo you have any theories to Napier’s hesitancy? Is it waiting out for jobs like LSU or Florida, or other factors? I guess I just disagree with the sentiment that TCU should have Dykes jump Napier and hire Dykes early just because we aren’t willing to wait out Napier for 7 more days. We shouldn’t be offended that he’s waiting out for two top 10-15 jobs in the country, one of them being top 3 (LSU)
I haven't asked, but knowing GP it's a combination of a guy who will do a good job, run the program in an ethical way, and hopefully keep some/all of his staff (including non-coaching/strength guys) who he thinks of like family. In your humble opinion, do you feel Gary likes them because they'll never reach what he accomplished or does he like them, because he feels they're the best fit for the job?
That's an honest question, I mean no disrespect to Gary or that I am insinuating he would do that.
Outside of a very few individuals on the coaching staff, it is that last part that would cause me the greatest concern.I haven't asked, but knowing GP it's a combination of a guy who will do a good job, run the program in an ethical way, and hopefully keep some/all of his staff (including non-coaching/strength guys) who he thinks of like family.
Oh dear god. If Sonny is keeping anyone beyond maybe 3-5 younger assistants I am 100% out.I haven't asked, but knowing GP it's a combination of a guy who will do a good job, run the program in an ethical way, and hopefully keep some/all of his staff (including non-coaching/strength guys) who he thinks of like family.
I guess nobody else wants Neon Deion. Why are you posting Jackson State offers in a TCU coaching search thread?
I think you’re being an idiot, but who do you suggest we hire?If we hire Dykes we will perpetually go 7-5 each year losing a bunch of high scoring shootouts.
Always looking for a Builder. Sometimes you’re fooled into hiring a Caretaker. Often you end up with a DestroyerOld saying about three types of leaders: Builders, Caretakers, and Destroyers.
What type will succeed GP the Builder?
This is catastrophic if Dykes does this. We need a revamp in the worst wayI haven't asked, but knowing GP it's a combination of a guy who will do a good job, run the program in an ethical way, and hopefully keep some/all of his staff (including non-coaching/strength guys) who he thinks of like family.
Still smarts doesn’t it? You’ll feel better little one; hang in thereA Guy with a losing P5 record and near .500 American record is your 1A?
Heard they shouldn't have given Tom that membership at the Austin Country Club.....If Dykes can supposedly learn from his mistakes vis-à-vis his abysmal W/L record then the same leniency should be extended to Herman in regards to his demeanor.
LMAO at losing his douchiness. Zero chance.
Oh the irony.LMAO at losing his douchiness. Zero chance.
