Maybe. My concern with Dykes is the high floor but pretty low ceiling. I think TCU is at a flash point with UT and OU leaving....I think a riskier hire makes more sense.

Same. Not to say that I'm sure Dykes isn't the one to do this, but we are at a moment where the right coach could turn TCU into the program that battles Oklahoma State every year to control the conference. It would be no small feat, but if we could do that it'd assure the program's future in whatever form the evolution of upper-tier college football takes.

Not sure how many feel this way, but there are very few coaches out there wouldn't be underwhelming after GP's tenure.
