Official Coaching Search Thread….

Sark has coached at Washington, USC and Texas. Dykes at La Tech, Cal and SMU.

I guess you don’t see much difference. SMH.

I’m not even sure what point your trying to make??

Sark’s career head coaching stats are very similar to Dykes, mediocre at best, go look them up.

Who cares what conference they were established in. Sark was mediocre at some big time schools, Dykes has been mediocre at some small lower tier schools

Texas thought/was hoping they were going to get some version of Sark that has never exhisted.

They seemed to think Saban and Alabama sprinkled some type of magic fairy dust on him and he was going to turn into some killer head coach which he has never ever been. Calling plays at Alabama will rehab your image, but you eventually have to go out and do it in your own.

Guess what, in year one, he is right back to what he has always been. Mediocre to bad.

He has been winnowed out as a TCU candidate, but someday Tony Elliott will get his chance. This article is his good story (from September 3).

“Elliott was so good at this job that within a year Neal promoted him to oversee the entire plant. In his mid-20s, with just a few months of real-world experience, Elliott lorded over veteran engineers, pooling together workers during training sessions and meetings in a way that Neal had never seen. He maximized their talents, cross-trained them in multiple roles and developed a camaraderie second to none.”

dude, seriously, you have started multiple threads about him and now this?

are you related to him? he found the barry letters funny? you are his agent?

we get it, you think tony elliott should be considered for the tcu job, any other college job, as well as have the ability to deal with global warming. seriously you are getting dangerously close to be on the level of asleep's crush on coumo

I mean the one that all killer frogs fear...the p**!

that would be a bbq at steels house where the other guest are wyoming, asleep at the karaoke machine singing love songs to cuomo, lvh punching cars in the street, sink telling maniac while he and steel's dog need to wear a mask to protect even just one life, and chopped liver sharing a 106 slide power point on why tony elliott is the greatest coaching candidate of all time

Sonny is who he is. A good coach but not a great coach. The fact is, he is the best TCU can do.

Some of you need to adjust your expectations. A great coach was never coming here. Small school, small fan base, conference borderline P5. The Billy Napier’s of the world have no interest in TCU.

We will never compete for a playoff spot with Sonny as coach. But he will get us a lot of 8-4/9-3 seasons, and he will keep us consistently in the top half of the conference, which will be a nice change after the past four seasons.
