NEW BENCH BACK SEATING COMING IN 2013
We are pleased to announce that we will install backs to all bleachers in the 200, 300 and 400 levels of Amon G. Carter Stadium in the offseason. These new purple backs will match what you currently see on the east and west sides on game days. Due to the stadium configuration and the 100 level remaining unchanged from the facility's original design, there is not enough room to permanently install backs to each row of bleachers. We will, however, offer a new Frog Seat with a seat back to all season ticket purchasers with reserved seats in the 100 level.

But...that doesn't make sense, maniac told us all that CDC and TCU don't care about the fans anymore and they're just trying to make money. Why would they go out of their way to fix something that we were all unhappy about? I'm confused now.

I agree with this. If you're an elderly person who is clearly in bad shape then I can't imagine security is going to escort you out due to a seat cushion.

If you're young and are just bringing it for your own comfort then you might not get away with it.

I don't know, when I was leaving the Virginia game there was a crowd of people lined up at the security station. The first two people in the line were an elderly couple that was being handed seat cushions. I stayed there a couple of seconds to see why they were handing out cushions and noticed the the next guy was also handed a cushion, but it was different than the elderly couple's, and it was ripped (it wasn't new).

I didn't know about the cushion rule at that time, but after reading this thread it is obvious that those people had had their cushions taken from them earlier and were retrieving them from security after the game.

We asked for big-time college football. This is what comes along with it, at any school you care to name. Some fans here apparently deceived themselves into thinking we'd be the exception -- that we'd get primo seating, rock-bottom prices, freedom to to do whatever we want, and it would all come with a smile.

If that's what's important to you, I'm sure Conference USA would take us back.

Gonna have to raise a BS flag IRT to portable seats at LSU, They allow them and they always have. As long as they measure 16inches in width or less..................not sure how much bigger it gets than down there. Next.....

Well, it broke our hearts to not be able to attend the games. However, we are starting to get used to
watching on TV from our comfortable chairs. Really can't sympathize with TCU about attendance problems
though.

I've noticed people bringing in seat cushions now to the games. If you have tickets, you may want to check again with TCU. I don't think they are enforcing this anymore. If they are, they are not being consistent. Of course, they did make my parents throw their cushions away. That was the first game though. The guy who sat a row in front of me last week had a metal Dallas Cowboys folding cushion.

It may be hit and miss at the different entrances. Gate 8 on the east side has had a stack of cushions confiscated by the security folks at each game so far.

The first game, my parents tried to bring their seats even though I warned them not to. They had to throw them away at the gate. When they sat down, a considerably younger couple walked by carrying 2 personal seat cushions. I told my Dad he just didn't do a good enough sales job.

We rented the seat cushions, and yeah, they're not the best, but they've been fine this season. I'd prefer to stand the entire game but you know how that is.

The stadium's great and it will get even better. I'm convinced that Del Conte wants to make gameday a great experience for everyone. It's not an easy task and it takes time.

Is Gate 8 the one by the Justin Center? I came in that one Saturday and there was basically a container full of seat cushions and umbrellas at each ticket taker

I spend time at a few different seats most games. During the 3rd quarter, I was in the South EZ with some acquaintances (so was CDC for awhile btw, speaking with His Ownself).

My friend was axking about the cushion policy. He said he saw a dude pull 2 purple cushies out of his pantlegs. Apparently they were rolled around his calves, above the boot. So there's an idea.
