Adjusting expectations is never easy, but yes it would have been a big kick to the nuts if we had lost this game.

The fact that we are still bowl eligible with a game to play means bowl eligibility is totally meaningless.

ESPN gametracker showed KU 34, TCU 31 for a minute or so with no explanation. I was jaw-dropped assuming a last-second kickoff return that was under review. Wish I'd taken a screenshot. I guess ESPN has decided that its usual stop-updating-gametracker-in-the-final-seconds with no explanation approach was not dramatic enough, and they need to actually post phantom TDs to upgrade user experience.
