I believe you are inflating the value of this roster, outside of the WR room, there are no candidates for even an All-B12 Honorable Mention.
There is no way TCU could ever hope to recruit on Wisconsin’s level with their 24th ranked (7th in B10) $389m NIL. By comparison, TCU’s NIL is less than 1/3 of Wisconsin‘s and is nowhere near the top 50.
We will never be able to consistently win in recruiting against these larger name brand schools.
Those days ended last year.
Even among B12 NILs, TCU is nowhere close to even being in the top half of the conference:
OSU $670m, KU $459m, TT $396m, WV $354m, Az. $346m, KSU $324m, ASU $265m, ISU $250m

If TCU doesn’t quickly step up to level the playing field, it doesn’t matter who the coach is, we will continue to lose ground every year.
OSU and KU's NIL doesn't seem to be doing them any favors.

75% of this teams issues are caused by very poor OL/DL/LB play.
This is very hard to fix in the short term, as lines are built over several years of successful HS recruiting, player development, & time playing together, NOT the portal.
Acquiring lineman via the portal will completely break our NIL, as the experienced/good linemen are extremely expensive.
Fortunately, Sonny has recruited 10 OLs in the ‘24/‘25 classes. We definitely need more DL, especially tackles.
As I have said before You cannot "Microwave" an offensive line. What is with these guys DL recruiting? They are recruiting dudes who are marginal starting material for Louisiana monroe or Marshall or UTEP or any P5 group. They are pathetic and should be beyond ashamed.

I get that, but this is different than those times. We are on a time clock for getting into what will likely be a super conference and SMU is trending. If we hold on and doom this team to a long rebuilding campaign then we may be left out and it will become bad business to invest in a team not playing in that top tier. So yes, we have seen worse, but this is a timing thing that could cost the school billions. That is my point.
Ahhhh the super conference? There are 33 teams in the BIG/SEC. Even if they invited 15 more teams, do you honestly believe TCU & their 100k alumni is close to being one of the biggest 15 brands in the B12, ACC, & ND?

The only hope you have is to accept the fact that we’re already dead.

Look at it this way.
There are very few teams outside this top 50 list that have any realistic chance to go to a Power CCG and/or go to the CFP. Utah is about it.

Not one private school is listed. I guess they don't have that information. There's no ND, USC, Miami, Stanford, TCU, Baylor, Vanderbilt, or SMU. Surely many of those are in the top 50.

Good observation.
ND doesn’t tell anybody anything, as they don’t have to.
I know Stanford basically doesn’t believe in NIL, but they do have a token program.
Vanderbilt? …..but you’d think the rest would be there.

“Only public universities were included in the findings.”

Also, this list is based on:
“total cumulative “donations and contributions” findings from 2005 through the end of the 2022”

Not really a list of NIL since it obviously didn’t exist for the majority of this time period

Not dead. The super league will take any P4 team that agrees to take on the $25mil annual payroll. Some of the B1GSEC will not. Just my opinion.

IMO, the 72 team centralized “super conference“ notion is not realistic.
Greg Sankey says a centralizing power ”would be an attempt by the rest of the sport to catch up with the SEC”. He is not dumbing down the SEC to help everyone else!!! A 72 team super conference without the SEC is not very super.

I disagree with the Talent comments. Yes, there are very good receivers.

The DEFENSE is terrible and I don't know how it could be worse than LY, but it is!
But all in all, this is not a talented team.

OL sucks, DL is even worse.
RB's very average, Defensive Secondary very average, LB's average. QB was good, but even he is now clueless.

Avalos, your Defense was supposed to be more impactful and aggressive?! It's NOT!!!
You are still running the 3-3-5 every game this year?! Terrible!!

The COACHING is pathetic and incapable of any intelligent in game strategy adjustments.
The lack of talent is on the COACHING STAFF, as well.

This is a BAD Football team and even worse COACHED football team. I'm done with these overpaid knuckleheads.
For Dykes to say he doesn't understand why they played that way....... It's because TCU is CAL 2.0
He's CLUELESS!!

I ran a business in Sioux Falls for 15 years and became friends with the USF coaches.
I am now fully on the Alabama band wagon. Kalen DeBoer rocks!!!

Sonny Dykes and Ken Doll Briles DO NOT!!!!
Are you still on the Bama Band wagon after loss the Vanderbilt

Great info. Where did you find this?

I was in a meeting today with people from an ACC school about a capital project. Some of what they are looking to do will come from athletics operating budget. They made the comment that everything is up in the air right now because they are trying to figure out how to fund the anticipated $25 million that will be added to their operating budget to pay players.

So they are expecting this to be a reality soon.

I'm not talking about the 72 team superconference. I'm talking about signing up for the $25mil annual payroll. Iowa State and Cincinnati have already declined. I think about half the Big12 and ACC will decline.

If I were Greg Sankey, I wouldn't like it. But if the biggest programs in the SEC can make even more money and no longer split revenue equally with the likes of Vandy and Mississippi State, they may tell Sankey to pound sand.

I would think there would be money to be made in all of CFB negotiating a single TV deal much like what the NFL does so as to ensure flexibility and great matchups in each timeslot each week. Also I think there would be value in getting rid of the cupcake games and playing all power conference teams OOC. Ohio State went almost a month before playing a meaningful game this year.
