Calling out certain players may be inappropriate, but our quarterback performances have sucked. Call that a recruiting miss or coaching incompetence or wrong skills for maximum performance.

Cancelled my trip to Salt Lake City in 2 weeks. Sorry, Can't sit through this crap in person , bad enough on TV.At least I can change the channel. 50 year plus fan & Alum, totally out on Dykes. Not a knee Jerk fan, but seen enough of Dykes' terrible football the past 1 & 1/2 seasons to know I can't continue to support it! Utah gonna hang 60 plus on this totally inept Coaching staff!
I won't be driving down to Cincinnati at Thanksgiving. It's gut wrenching to think of TCU football playing a conference game four hours drive from me and not going but what's the point? I would need to get a hotel room at least one night, buy food, drinks and tickets. Groceries cost more every week and every dollar of pay buys less. Why spend money and time watching a team so abysmally coached?

Depressing.

Do we really though…have the talent I mean? Aside from a few positions and mainly on offense, I doubt this. Our linebackers seem unathletic compared to most schools. Our rbs aren’t showcasing much of anything, or at least the one we are only allowed to see in any great capacity, although he did actually do decent for once last night. Savion is capable of highlight reel plays every one in four games but goes missing far too often. We’ve missed on our Oline recruiting for 6-7 years now it seems like. Let’s not even mention the defensive line and it’s depth issues over the last few years, especially at DT. And then there are our secondary issues the past few years.

Think we’ve been bitten by the starsies disease the past few years, sadly.
It is so deeply broken that you can’t tell how bad each of the individual pieces really is. For instance we don’t know how good/bad the RBs are because the OL is so pathetic. (I was surprised to see Cook with 5.5 ypc.)

All of the pieces are broken, and all of the pieces interrelate to make the others even worse!

Turn overs, missed tackles, dropped passes, interceptions, misses x-pt attempts, out played off/def line, gave up Big Plays. I think it mediocre players or worse. Better hope WRs Williams, Richardson, Bech, dont leave!!! Get a Line that can protect Hoover, or else he'll leave!

I am not an attorney and haven’t seen SD’s contract, but I say fire him today and tell him he has gotten all the money he’s going to get and then file a suit against him for fraud and defamation of TCU’s reputation.

They'll all leave at this rate, except the ones who aren't good enough to play elsewhere.

Yep. UH did beat Rice. Not sure where I got that from. Still UH has been terrible. We lost to a terrible UH. The gist is still true. We have never had a team coached this poorly. Penalties are based on poor discipline and coaching. Picking a running back that isnt ready and doesn't know how to hit a hole hard is a coaching decision. Play calling has been poor. We looked great when we had some good blitzes. Now no blitzes. A coach being thrown out of games. A coach who has no answers sounds like a failure of a coach. Even with far less talented teams we had fight and a never die attitude. We were always in games. Now we fall behind and stay behind. I'm saying this right now. We are done as a football school if they don't fire this coach this week. I'f they leave this as is, we will start bleeding recruits and the damage will be too great to change the direction in time for the big realignment. SMU will laugh all the way to the bank as the DFW representative. This is not a joke. When that happens TCU higher ups will have no choice but to severely restrict the investment in the football team or disband it all together. There is no other goal then to position ourselves for the upcoming realignment. The Big 12 will be stripped of its best along with the ACC. It's a fact. It's certain and our administration needs to pull their heads out of their behinds to take the contract loss. Lose the battle but win the war.

This 100%. There is a difference between supporting a team that loses and a team that loses in the way we are. This is not a loss with heart or discipline. We are losing to teams we should beat. That is not worth my investment either. We were going to fly to Utah. Not anymore. Probably won't even watch the team because that is my only vote that the administration will understand #boycot all home games. If you bought tickets, don't go.

This team is loaded w guys on their last “tour”. What bothers me is not many of the recent recruits are good enough to get on the field. In addition, players in street clothes seems to increase every week.

AGC will be a graveyard for Okie State. Two programs in utter disarray, two fan bases in despair.

The loss we will experience when we are not being picked in the eventual big 10 sec league merger will FAR outweigh taking the hit on Sonny destroying this program, the loss in recruits, etc. This is not even a hard decision. This team blows so hard from bad coaching it's not even funny. The only way you keep some of these recruits and stop the bleeding out of next years recruits is to go get a good name coach and invest or drop football. This is truly pathetic and I would even sue Sonny for any failures you can find. This is not a situation of sort of bad football. This is abysmal football with a far more talented team than what is being shown. FIRE SONNY NOW! I said it when they hired him and made it to the championship. Gary built that team. Sonny just benefitted from the release of tension in the program with truly great players and a qb who gave everything he had for a win. I repeat, fire Sonny or reap the windfall of being left out once again and worse yet, having SMU picked to represent the DFW. This is not a joke. Our AD should also be fired.
Gary built it. Sonny kilt it.

Yeah, we really do. I'd take our WR corps over any other in the B12, and they must certainly be top 10 nationally. Just looking at those dudes play, we are blessed at that position.
QB: Who the scheiss knows? I *think* Hoover is really good, but incredibly poorly coached by [ Baylor accusations ] Jr. I sincerely hope this doesn't play out, but I could absolutely see him going to a program with a legit QB coach and becoming an NFL prospect/player.
RB: We FINALLY saw something out of Cam Cook- more aggressive and fired up than any other game this year. Too bad it took the prospect of losing his job to motivate him- But the talent is there.
OL- Horrendous. They finally got exposed. Enough said.
DL- 8-ply soft. IDK what the hell is going on there, but I don't think you can say there aren't some talented dudes in the bunch.
LBs: I actually like them: Big scheissers who can run reasonably well and will hit someone when they have a chance
DBs: I think, very talented. Bad defensive play calling, bad scheme, trying too hard to do run support. . . IDK, but there are some really talented guys there.
That's all I've got, not looking for a scrum just wanted to respond to the original thesis.

Many TCU fans are within the school’s area and can easily get to a game, but so much money is made for Fort Worth (and the University) from those who travel in for the games. So, so much. We fill hotels (gladly overpaying for standard rooms), we fill the bookstore, we fill restaurants, we fill cocktail bars, the Stockyards, Ubers, DFW/Love Field. Without these extra fans, the city and the University lose a great deal of money that they otherwise have become accustomed to receiving. The financial well-being of Ft. Worth’s service industry now almost banks upon TCU football fans‘ expendable incomes, especially so during inflationary, post-Covid times.

When the cash spigot is restricted, change often occurs, and those who suffer will also apply pressure upon TCU’s administration for changes. What helps drive upheaval is cold basic capitalism, frankly, together with good old fashioned politics and lobbying.

75% of this teams issues are caused by very poor OL/DL/LB play.
This is very hard to fix in the short term, as lines are built over several years of successful HS recruiting, player development, & time playing together, NOT the portal.
Acquiring lineman via the portal will completely break our NIL, as the experienced/good linemen are extremely expensive.
Fortunately, Sonny has recruited 10 OLs in the ‘24/‘25 classes. We definitely need more DL, especially tackles.
