Fire Sonny Today

The loss we will experience when we are not being picked in the eventual big 10 sec league merger will FAR outweigh taking the hit on Sonny destroying this program, the loss in recruits, etc. This is not even a hard decision. This team blows so hard from bad coaching it's not even funny. The only way you keep some of these recruits and stop the bleeding out of next years recruits is to go get a good name coach and invest or drop football. This is truly pathetic and I would even sue Sonny for any failures you can find. This is not a situation of sort of bad football. This is abysmal football with a far more talented team than what is being shown. FIRE SONNY NOW! I said it when they hired him and made it to the championship. Gary built that team. Sonny just benefitted from the release of tension in the program with truly great players and a qb who gave everything he had for a win. I repeat, fire Sonny or reap the windfall of being left out once again and worse yet, having SMU picked to represent the DFW. This is not a joke. Our AD should also be fired.

It’s such a damn shame we look so pathetic in all phases- we actually have some pretty damn talented players on both sides. This is NOT a talent issue, it’s 100% on (lack of) coaching. With average coaching we should be comfortably in the top half of the conference, instead of sucking hind [ teat ].

Cancelled my trip to Salt Lake City in 2 weeks. Sorry, Can't sit through this crap in person , bad enough on TV.At least I can change the channel. 50 year plus fan & Alum, totally out on Dykes. Not a knee Jerk fan, but seen enough of Dykes' terrible football the past 1 & 1/2 seasons to know I can't continue to support it! Utah gonna hang 60 plus on this totally inept Coaching staff!

Exactly and it shows to next year's recruits. Why would anyone come here to be coached by this guy. This is exactly why they need to fire him today. Don't wait. The cost of waiting is greater than his buyout.

Do we really though…have the talent I mean? Aside from a few positions and mainly on offense, I doubt this. Our linebackers seem unathletic compared to most schools. Our rbs aren’t showcasing much of anything, or at least the one we are only allowed to see in any great capacity, although he did actually do decent for once last night. Savion is capable of highlight reel plays every one in four games but goes missing far too often. We’ve missed on our Oline recruiting for 6-7 years now it seems like. Let’s not even mention the defensive line and it’s depth issues over the last few years, especially at DT. And then there are our secondary issues the past few years.

Think we’ve been bitten by the starsies disease the past few years, sadly.

My humble opinion is that 2024 TCU is an average to just below average team that is poorly coached in most phases of the game.

I disagree with the Talent comments. Yes, there are very good receivers.

The DEFENSE is terrible and I don't know how it could be worse than LY, but it is!
But all in all, this is not a talented team.

OL sucks, DL is even worse.
RB's very average, Defensive Secondary very average, LB's average. QB was good, but even he is now clueless.

Avalos, your Defense was supposed to be more impactful and aggressive?! It's NOT!!!
You are still running the 3-3-5 every game this year?! Terrible!!

The COACHING is pathetic and incapable of any intelligent in game strategy adjustments.
The lack of talent is on the COACHING STAFF, as well.

This is a BAD Football team and even worse COACHED football team. I'm done with these overpaid knuckleheads.
For Dykes to say he doesn't understand why they played that way....... It's because TCU is CAL 2.0
He's CLUELESS!!

I ran a business in Sioux Falls for 15 years and became friends with the USF coaches.
I am now fully on the Alabama band wagon. Kalen DeBoer rocks!!!

Sonny Dykes and Ken Doll Briles DO NOT!!!!

SMU is where we were around the early 2000's while we've regressed to where we were during Sullivan's last two seasons. This team is soft physically and mentally, is undisciplined and plays with absolutely zero juice. Therefore our coaches are soft, undisciplined and are unable to motivate our kids.
Last night's game was the first that I've been able to attend this year and from the 4th and 2 failure on the first possession until I left, I had zero faith that we would win. I haven't felt like that since 1997.

I won't make an effort to attend more games after that showing and the feeling it left me with. I can't imagine that I'm the only one. I think the program has reached a kind of crucible moment and I have little faith that those with the power to affect change will make the right decision.

The competence of the staff is glaringly obvious, but I'm not so sure this team has the studs needed to be a Big 12 contender this year.
LIU matched frontline energy on both sides of the ball. That was very troubling to watch.
Frogs are missing key secondary starters, there's no true burner to stretch defenses, LB's are getting swallowed up in the box, the defensive edges are prone against the run at times, and there's no true starter at RB.
Game planning for TCU isn't exactly quantum physics.
