I bought a house. There was a switch on wall. I went and clicked it on and off and it didn't do anything. Every time I walked by i'd flick the switch. A couple of months later I got a letter from a guy in Germany. It said, "Cut it out."

A legend from a SAC veteran site.
Some unknown prankster installed an additional big red on/off switch on the far back corner of a launch control computer support rack in a Titan II missile site. Couldn’t be seen by a casual scan or walk by but only if down on knees crawling into a tight space with a mini mag light. Also installed an official Always Leave ON sign above it complete with a light.
Then he left it in the OFF position.
A little sick & sad but vintage military humor.
Especially the black humor type when dealing with nuclear weapons daily.
