Player of the game so far easily is Starratt. Only reason we are in this game. Really hope he is pitching in 7th

When you have runners on first and second with no outs, down by two runs, and your 2-hole hitter at the plate and you don't bunt....that's not only NOT the same coaching strategy, it's a total abandonment of the strategy. At least Witte did the right thing and went oppo to advance one runner.....

we bunted nearly every time including down by 2 or 1 runs with runners and 1st or 2nd. 10 times we bunted with 2 strikes (got about 1 of them)

We bunt about 80% less and I agree that is not the ideal case to bunt. Fact is we haven't done it as much which has been a positive thing. Not the same strategy but we have had multiple times where coach would elect to bunt but has now decided not to.

Starratt had a great outting. Would have love to see only 1 run, but he came against a team on fire pitching a 5 1/3 strong innings preserving the bullpen for a very important out game.
