We should’ve hired Coach Prime

Dykes fielded a .500 Team in 2022 - it was only because Max came off the bench that he has the record he does.
Oh, so you’re saying Sanders didn’t have a ready made NFL QB and nearly a transfer portal of players coming in.

  • Gaines Willie WR

His first game they go on the road and get the W with a great offensive performance. Sonny’s first game he goes on the road, benches a Heisman finalist and barely squeaks by a terrible 1-11 team. The difference is apparent already. Coach Prime would’ve at least had us ready for Georgia and made it competitive. Terrible hiring choice by our AD and Board.
You think TCU would have been in the national championship game if Deion had been hired? I certainly don’t. Your talk about Sonny benching/not starting Duggan is comical. Who the hell do you think would have QB’d that team? Deion’s son

Sanders just got a commitment from the #2 ranked player in the country apparently. Julian “JuJu” Lewis, 5 star qb recruit.

Be interesting to see how long either last at CU.
#2 player in the country?? Who is reporting that?

Rivals has him listed at #6. I never realized the amount of discrepancy in recruiting rankings between 247 and Rivals

ESPN. I realize you never want to believe anything anyone says unless it’s you saying it but this is easily checked.

Well, sorry. Usually when I look at recruit rankings I go straight to 247, I saw #2 recruit and there seemed to be a disconnect. It's obviously clear he's the #2 recruit in the country, how could I not know that? Good for Deion I guess.

Good god man, give it a rest. Yeah, I guess I don't agree with anyone on anything, but the truth is when I agree with stuff (which is a lot) I just don't respond. I don't find much value in "I agree" posts, I guess I should do that more often, it would really ramp up the discussion on here.

Weird response when you could have instead just said, "Neat! I didn't look at that source. I appreciate the clarification!"

Yeah, I guess it probably was a weird response. No different than a lot of responses to me though.

For example, Chongo could've just said "ESPN".

Colorado is going to have an great QB when Prime is the coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

Problem with that is that there's no way Jones is going to have the NFL's highest paid player as a backup.

On a side note, they're screwed for years. He's got more than half the teams salary cap tied up in 2 players past their prime (no pun intended). They've got to pay for 50+ players, including what will most likely be a pretty high draft pick next year, on less than half of the salary cap. Lamb and Prescott are scheduled to count 124 million in cap money in 2025. Wrap your skulls around that. Jones is a moron as an nfl gm. Been proving it for almost 30 years.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Jones is going to have trouble finding a coach better than McCarthy after he cans him for just those salary cap reasons. Anyone with half a brain knows they're going to be hamstrung with salary cap issues for quite a few years out. What coach with half a brain would step into that position? Jones will never have another Super Bowl season in his lifetime. At least as acting gm. When he said they were "all in" before this season, he meant it. He leveraged the teams future salary cap-wise on this season.

The market for QBs has gotten ridiculous. This idea that you just have to pay "the going rate" for your QB whenever his contract runs up, if he's in the top half of QBs in the league, is killing teams. You pay what you have to pay for difference makers like Mahomes, Allen, and Burrow. Not guys like Prescott, Lawrence and Watson that need a bunch of really good players around them to win, because you can't build enough of a team around one guy who is counting 30% against the cap by himself.
