Walker Howard (5* QB) to TCU?

I get that he is a 5* and probably likely to win the competition against Morris. But if banking on getting him makes or breaks next season, we are not going to be very good. If Sonny can develop QB's, then there are others- in the portal that can fill that void at QB.

all true, but he has also missed has he not? heck, recently we have been told about upcoming late recruiting surges that never came?

all i am saying is that the only one(s) who truly know the why are the howard(s) in this matter, anyone who has ever sold anything has at least one story of a sale they knew was certain that got lost and they can't really tell you what went wrong

This 100% sounds like we were used to up the NIL offer. Been a common theme lately.

doesn't it though, basically what we are seeing is a return to the good ole' days of when a recruit could sign multiple conference letters of intent only to have a week or so to "decide " which of those schools the recruit would sign their national letter

tcu is a credible enough program that they set the floor and are a good "fallback" if the other schools balk

-The hope for another QB is coming May 1 to May 15. That is the second period for the portal to be open. Some of these schools are loaded up on QBs and there will be guys going to the portal after spring training if the do not win the job in spring training.

agreed, recruiting has become year round and there isn't a need to get flustered right now as we are far from done seeing players enter the portal for next season

if we are looking at the positives hoover is going to get a bunch of attention and reps this spring

And....Sam Huard is still out there.

sam is from the pnw family of qb's as his dad and uncle (brock) started at qb for the huskies for 6 straight seasons and two years before dad, damon, the dawgs starting was billy joe hobart who had the same hs head coach as the brothers, grandfather mike huard

sam leaving uw is very interesting as the ties to the program are REALLY deep as damon headed up the dawgs athletic department fund raiser program and started working on their game broadcasts around 2015 i would guess

very much worth kicking the tires

He is left handed. If he came here would I have to watch games with a mirror?
Actually left handed QB's can at times be more efficient in that defenses to some extent need to react differently than they do normally. Left handed QB's are naturally suited to roll out to the left as right handed one do to the right. Passing with your body rather than accross your body can make a difference in velocity and accuracy. But good QB's can make accross body passing work too.

Screw that guy! If he didn’t want to be here, it his loss. We did pretty dadgum well without him, don’t you think?!?
So manny of the guys that are touted so highly fizzle out anyway. So, scheiss you very much, Mr. Howard. We’ll see you in the playoffs…if you make it.

Is it a done deal that Walker is going to Ole Miss? Or is this speculation since there is no announcement?
Maybe no announcement because he is waiting to see the NIL deal done or maybe Sonny, the staff, and his buddy are still trying to get him and he is having a hard time making a decision.

It better be a hell of an NIL deal because a number of posters claim Dart with start for the next 2 years...I don't know of many QB's that are truly competitive that would sign up for that deal. except maybe Chase Daniel but he's a pro.

this is the internet where speculation and anecdotal evidence is as solid as scientific research, wait a minute.....that didn't come out right, or.....maybe it did

understand your thinking
