TCU vs Colorado

We did defend the home court well. Maybe NIL ?
It's NIL. That's a huge part of it. Yes we can sell the other parts and factors and maybe sometimes get guys to turn down better money. But everyone has a price and if BYU were offering you a million and TCU were like "we got 17,500 and a gently used 2008 audi", what decisions would you make?

Now I don't think the discrepancy is THAT stark, but people around here insinuate that our coffers might be light vs others. And if that is true, building consistently will be tough.

There is a huge difference in our NIL and the rest of the Big 12. For example, KU pays Hunter Dickenson $2 million himself. Add in all the other transfers and their NIL is between $4-5 million. Obviously, they are not getting their money's worth, but that is tough to overcome.

I'd expect KU to be head and shoulders above almost everyone, just like I wouldn't be shocked to see teams like UT and Georgia ruling the NIL landscape in football.

What I'm curious about is, are we bidding equal with KSU or ISU? Teams like that which have really good basketball success from time to time.

Interesting that Haggerty greatly improved his three-point shooting percentage this season for an excellent 41% but still only takes 2.9 per game while shooting 11.6 two-point shots at 52%. Always has been a penetrator going back to his high school days. Shoots eight free throws per game at 80% and plays 36.4 minutes per game.

TCU fans making the case that PJ Haggerty should have started over Mike Miles.

Thinking Think GIF by Rodney Dangerfield

Will Haggerty feel it is now best to transfer a 3rd time to further his development against better players in the SEC, Big 12, Big East or Big Ten, or does he feel it is best to continue to be tutored by Penny Hardaway in his attempt to find his way to the NBA.

Maybe Kelvin Sampson with Haggerty’s hometown Houston will want him now, and coach his defense up - Sampson insists on defense first.

Maybe Haggarty could come back to TCU next season as a player/free throw coach. He made 14 of 14 free throws Saturday against Tulane. But he was 2 for 13 from the field and missed all five theee-pointers.
