Yes, Miles to the free throw line for the Sweet Sixteen win versus #1 seed, Arizona (33-3). Dixon took us from by far the worst program in the Big 12 to the Sweet Sixteen - marinate in that, people, while talking of cutting him loose.

Liked for Diallo's improvement. It was obvious as the year went on. Still has a ways to go, offensively especially, seems nervous with the ball. But I can see him being pretty good in a year or two.

I think Manning was hurt for part of the year which didn't help, and I'm sure he wishes he played better when he was in. Yes he did make a cryptic/unfortunate/possibly-misinterpreted social media comment as do many young people these days. But he's also a son of a TCU professor. That's a small population, of which I am one. Has probably been a Frog fan long before he was a Frog athlete. So I'll afford him some grace and would welcome him back.

Yeah, I think we’d have won, but they’d have advanced the ball and had 3 seconds to run a play, so it’s certainly not a given. And let’s not forget that we inbounded with 13 seconds left and Miles was tiptoeing the backcourt line still trying to get out of a double team with 3 seconds to shoot, 45 feet from the basket. Yes he was fouled and it should have been called, but that was a really dumb possession for us. Frankly, a call would’ve bailed us out. Also, we clearly fouled them a couple of possessions earlier on a layup and it wasn’t called, so we probably should’ve been down 1 for that possession. Does Miles make both?

The biggest gut punch is that we had that same team back the next year and couldn’t go any further.

Didn’t have a big the following year (Lampkin quit mid-season), and that cost us having to play against the Zags 7’2 big man.

Bad shooting is contagious. So is good shooting. There are coaches ( specialist ) that teach free throw shooting. Dixon got 9 Big 12 wins out of this bunch and great wins before they blew a tire. If we can Dixon it would be disastrous. IMHO. We were dreaming of having him here for a decade and he has delivered more than we have ever had before. I imagine our basketball NIL is not that great either.

how is BYU better than us at basketball? They have a coach who's never been a colliegate head coach, finished with a 14-6 conference record.

Dixon has never even been close to that in 10 years...

BYU has a lot better home court for one thing. They put 18,000 in the building every night. Their NIL is unlimited
