Yep idioticWent to the Mets game yesterday and walked around Corona Park and the UTSA center. Didn't wear a mask on the flights. Uber drivers didn't enforce the mask mandate. No masks and no vax card requirements for the Mets game. But Djokevic, as of now, won't be let into the country. Just stupid.
Sad day when the French are the only slam hosts that aren't shootin themselves in the foot trying to score cheap political pointsYep idiotic
Alastair Gray is the top seed in Roehampton (M25) this week. Trying to squeeze as many points out of the grass court season as he can. Maxted is also in the main draw as a qualifier.
Congrats to Nick Chappell. He made it through qualifying at Cabo and is into the first ATP main draw of his career (can that be right?). He'll get world #84 Chun-Hsin Tseng in the 1st round. Tseng's last match was a 1st round loss at Wimbledon to Alastair Gray. If Chappell wins, he gets defending champ Cam Norrie.
While we don't get Norrie v Chappell, we do get Gray v Maxted in the 2R of a Futures tomorrow
Seems like the strategy is to play in England as much as possible. Futures tour leaves there after August. At that point I would guess he'll try some more Challengers. I'd like to see him head to the US for our hard court season, just to see him line up against some familiar names. But there are also some hard court Challengers in France next month, so maybe he stays closer to home.Gray won again this morning in what looked like a hurricane in Nottingham. He's onto the semis. He continues to maintain the strangest tournament schedule/strategy I've seen.
Good call noticing they leave after August. Probably the game plan. His ranking is just way too high to be messing around in Futures... every Futures he doesn't at least make the final is a wasted tournament points wise.
