Not sure what you're talking about Bob. ... last year, we had more yards p/carry than OU(that would be 1 more yard by OU on 3 extra attempts) and only 9 less passing yards than TCU. So in bad weather, and a reduction in wide openness.?. my money is on GP, all the way.

Cheers !
Appreciate your insight, but this is ot last year we had Paul Dawson and Marcus Mallet.  This year they have Samaje and we have no experience at linebacker.  So, that is what I'm talking about.  Also, Deuce didn't look to hot in the only away cold and wet game I saw him in last year - at West Va.

It really doesn't seem that Bowlsby is ahead of the curve on anything.  Maybe he could get the SEC to let him follow their Commissioner around for a day like coaches do
He'd have to be put on a leash or he'd wander off.

The next to last week of the season.  We have a bye the last week.
Read his post again. He said that "Not only are we unseen the last week of the season, we're unseen the next week during the conference championship games."

We technically play the last week of the season, and have a bye during championship weekend. He was saying that we have 2 byes to end the season, but we have just 1.

Not sure how long that Bedlam agreement has been in place. TCU played OU the last game of the year in 2012.
Since 2004. The 2012 final game between TCU/OU occurred because of the A&M schedule debacle/swap.

Maybe during our bye week Coach P should take our kids to Alaska for practice all week in the snow and ice.  Perhaps we would play better in those games after that?

You're thinking too hard. Just move 2 teams schedule to both's open date on Dec 5th... that's only 1 simple move. That gives the B12  3 games that could determne the league champ(that CCGs weekend) in one form or another. 6 of the top 7 teams playing each other instead of TCU playing a cellar dweller, like the last weekend of 2014 season.

Cheers !

Agreed, Bedlam on Rivalry weekend as planned.

Big12 need to start thinking out of the box on scheduling if there is not Big 12 a Championship game.

Simple, take the top two teams and make sure they are scheduled against the other Conference CG.

If it is a Rivalry game conflict, then take the next two highest finishing teams from the last season and move it to the CCG weekend.

TCU v. Iowa State did not help TCU one bit last year.

TCU v. OU might have made the difference if the games had been switched.

National TV audience, one or more of the CCG are going to be a blow out.

These games would garner a nice TV audience as an alternative to tOSU 59 and Wisconsin 0:

TCU v. OU
Baylor v. Texas
KSU v. OSU
Tech v. WVU

I am OK with both having bye weeks the final week of the season.

The Big12 can schedule the games better thru the whole year IMO. Everyone's schedule is back loaded. You won't hear about Baylor until November. It would be better to spread it out over the entire season.

The SEC scheduled big games from week 1 throughout the season. It helps their teams stay relevant early and often.

with Bedlam being the last regular season game, the only way this could happen would be to vacate your date (11/21) OU and TCU would both have open date and then OU/TCU matchup on (11/28) which would push Bedlam to 12/5. Bedlam will always end the season due to agreement within the universities.
What is Bedlam??

Or we cold all follow CDC's advice and just chill and see what happens. If the Big 12 had been manipulating the schedule last year for the arguments you are making, TCU would not have sniffed a significant game the last weekend. We were a losing team the year before and no reasonable person really saw a near 12-0 run. Every year is going to be different.

Once they put a second same conference team in with the same record or any team with a worse record than the Big 12 Champion in, we can kneejerk off as much as we want.

This won't help OSU's chance as a dark horse, they won't buy in. OSU will want Bedlam during rivalry week and/or the title contender the last week:

Better match ups imo:

OU vs Baylor
TCU v. OSU
KSU v. Texas
Tech v. WVU[/quote]

You apparently aren't a college sports fan. Why are you on this forum for? You've got to be the only uneducated Frog Fan (or are you a troll?) on here. Almost every one of the guys/gals on here are very smart about college athletics, especially in the Big12. Sit back and read, you'll probably learn a lot on this board.
