Sooners vs Frogs game should be moved to Dec. 5th

They both have open weekends on the weekend of the 5th, when all the other P5 championship games are being played. Both teams are expected to in be the  hunt for the B12 Title. Why is the league asleep at the wheel here. WVU at KSU and UT at Baylor are on the 5th of December too.... both matches are potential league deciders. This could be the B12s version of a CC weekend. Possibly, much more exciting than a single CCG.

Cheers !

Kind of a debacle from the Big XII standpoint. We saw what happens when you don't have a conf championship. Now there is no game for OU or TCU.

That being said, now that it's scheduled. It won't be moved.

Laughable how something this obvious can be missed....

The fact that tcu-baylor is not that championship week originally is nearly as baffling....

It's completely baffling. The SEC puts a lot of thought into their schedule each week and we can't even figure out this one pretty obvious thing.

Plus...us and OU could definately use a bye week. The only plus leaving it where it is takes the risk of a Dec 5 snow/ice storm out of the equation in unpredictable Norman. It might be 73 or might be awful weather.

To be fair, they did schedule TCU/Baylor for rivalry weekend, which is when it should be played. They definitely should have made sure as many teams were playing during championship weekend as possible though. The people running the Big 12 right now aren't inspiring much confidence. It seems that Neinas did more for the conference in 3 months than Bowlsby has in 3 years. Too bad we couldn't have convinced Chuck to stick around a little longer.

with Bedlam being the last regular season game, the only way this could happen would be to vacate your date (11/21) OU and TCU would both have open date and then OU/TCU matchup on (11/28) which would push Bedlam to 12/5. Bedlam will always end the season due to agreement within the universities.

I'm good with playing baylor during rivalry weekwnd.....IF we have a championship weekend game as well....BUT the Conf knew both teams were likely going to be in top 5 preseason.... Good Job Big Xii

Rivalry weekend vs Baylor helps TCU more than matchup with OU. The Sooners will probably be 7-4 going into Bedlam with losses to Tenn, Texas, Baylor, TCU. Downside is Baylor will have just taken a loss the week before y'alls matchup

You're thinking too hard. Just move 2 teams schedule to both's open date on Dec 5th... that's only 1 simple move. That gives the B12  3 games that could determne the league champ(that CCGs weekend) in one form or another. 6 of the top 7 teams playing each other instead of TCU playing a cellar dweller, like the last weekend of 2014 season.

Cheers !

There is no probably anything in 2015... except that KU/TT/and ISU won't be anywhere near the title race and that 4 of the top 7 will be fighting it out tooth and nail, until the last week or two.

Cheers !

That's right.  Take a team like TCU with a wide-open offense and move the game to December where bad weather could actually work in OU's favor with Samaje and their ground game.  Smart.

Not sure what you're talking about Bob. ... last year, we had more yards p/carry than OU(that would be 1 more yard by OU on 3 extra attempts) and only 9 less passing yards than TCU. So in bad weather, and a reduction in wide openness.?. my money is on GP, all the way.

Cheers !

Not sure how long that Bedlam agreement has been in place. TCU played OU the last game of the year in 2012.

Is this a new agreement, since it didn't happen the first year of the new Big 12 in 2012?

Pretty pathetic the Big 12 gave us a bye the last week of the season, especially after last years absolute [ Finebaum ] show.

Not only are we unseen the last week of the season, we're unseen the next week during the conference championship games.

Not a good situation when you're dealing with a playoff comittee that has proved to have extreme recency bias.

It really doesn't seem that Bowlsby is ahead of the curve on anything.  Maybe he could get the SEC to let him follow their Commissioner around for a day like coaches do
