I’ll give Sonny one thing, he seems like he learned quick after the natty disaster.
He had not managed practice schedules as he thinks he should. Was doing recruitment, etc. said he would not do it that way again.

I'm referring to his coach speak post game pressers, primarily after we lose. He ALWAYS says that we had a good week of practice.

In high school I had the best practice week ever before a playoff game, in which I got absolutely torched by a receiver who would make an impact just first year of college. Longest 2 qtrs of my life.

Story of my life. If you watched me at practice when I played baseball, you'd think I was a future hall of famer. Then game time comes and you'd think who let this dumbass on the field (not quite that bad but you get the point lol).

A friend of mine has a kid that "played" at Alabama for Saban - I put played in quotes because the kids joke when asked about if he played football at Bama was - he played football for Alabama 6 days a week - everyday but Saturday....

Injuries mounted 3rd quarter and our guys got to the qb and it provided relief. I don’t even try and lie to myself about why he didn’t have the same numbers in the 2nd half. lol.

I got to go to a practice when Stallings was there. I remember being amazed at what they put on the field.
Those guys won games just stepping off the bus.
