Question for the board

OK Frogs, I happen to think that you guys are sitting in the catbird seat as far as conference goes this year. Right now it looks like you have the schedule and the team to win it, possibly go undefeated and represent the conf in the big bowls.

My question is this: How are your lines?

I know about the stud DE coming back and he could be DPOY in the conference and possibly AA. Aside from him, how about the other guys? Both sides of the ball.

The OL guys play darned hard for a bunch of 190-pound waifs. They are on the weight program and by late summer should be lifting TWO 40-pound barbells at the same time! Don't know about the DL fellows, since they are all off a mission.

Don't forget Earl Anderson and Koortnie Roojers, assuming he comes back.

Scribe failed to mention both lines are super slow as well. Just might be a real long season.

Heard we were going to a 1-5-5 with Hughes as the only DL.

It's actually a 1-4-6... Patterson wants the extra safety for additional speed.

Would that be another walk down?

DL

We're pretty much set at DE, we're returning 5 of our 6 deep there, including the all-american. We lost both DTs, but we have guys who are supposed to be able to do a pretty good replacing them. We don't expect the same production out of them, but hoping not to drop off too much

OL

We are looking good. We lost the center, Blake Schleuter, but we are very deep and I expect it to be about as good an OL as we've had.

Any names to watch out for?
Everyone is well aware of Hughes. Others?

The Frogs have recruited some of the undead zombies from the Fancher party. These were little children muirdered by the Mormons, who have returned from their graves to haunt the Mountain West. They cannot wait to have a crack at the Utah O Linemen, but especially the BYU linemen. Everyone knows the Utes aren't real Mormons.

Bob Lilly discovered he has one more year of eligibility along with Jim Swink at RB.

We should finally have players older than BYU on average.

Chad - you've been around here long enough to know that serious questions are usually answered with inane, sophmoric responses. Idiotic posts on the other hand receive a volume of responses that would make even the most jaded attention Briles think she has found Valhalla.

Defensive line - DT, as mentioned, will be the key. We have "potential" and we'll just have to see if thats adequate. The last time we were this unproven at DT was the year Vess was suspended and the results were maddeningly evident.

OL - Should be the best we've had since LT was breaking records. Just one of many reasons that TCU fans are expecting a record breaking year offensively.

What does that face mean?

Does Steel need to go into the Fancher party history, and then back into the bad old days of BY hisownself and John Smith and his execution at the hands of an angry mob in Illinois? The story is a good one, if you haven't heard it, complete with angels, talking rocks, gold mines, murder and pedophilia, and such and such.
