  1. A trip to the Freshwater Fisheries in Athens would be good. I know it's a drive, but it will be educational and fun. Also you can fish stocked ponds. Game Wardens are a wealth of knowledge so don't hesitate asking them. If you can get on a golf course those lakes can be amazing.

  2. Speaking of fishing does anyone know of any good places to drop a fly in the DFW area? Looking for places that aren't polluted.

  3. Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit making prostitution jokes.

  4. How much would you pay for a local guide?

  5. Any recommendations or prices for a guide?

  6. Plenty of great places to wet a line, including a fly. You haven’t tried too hard if you’re asking. Stop being a scared little girl.

  7. It’s been a few years since I used a guide locally. If I hire a guide now, it’s on a fishing trip.

Last guided trip I took was Red Fishing out of Venice, LA.

Another good one down there is Voo Doo Fishing Charters. Haven’t used these guys, but was referred by others to them.

If you’re wanting something more “local,” there’s great Striper fishing on Texoma.

  8. If you want a cool summer trip go to Red River, N. M. and stay at Tall Pine Resort. My family has gone there for 25+ years. Fishing is great for kids and there is fun stuff for them to do at the resort and in town. It is family friendly and relaxing cool fun from the Texas summer heat. I am going in two weeks.

  9. Maybe Jimbo can give you some lessons

  10. I’ve got a good contact on a crappie guide in the DFW area. (The Crappie Guy). Think he’s still doing guide work and not just fishing for fun.
