Are guys just going to keep playing college football after their so-called eligibility is up? Abe played four years for us. Did I miss something?

he started at coffeyville at a JUCO. I guess those years don't count?

The year at JUCO was already counted as his COVID year, which is why he was able to play 4 full years at TCU. I think the tweet was probably deleted because someone didn’t understand the ruling and he thought he had another year. Whether it was him or just a bad lead, I don’t know.

The new ruling that JUCO years don't count could give him one more year, depending on the interpretation.

From the On3 article—
“The former No. 1 JUCO safety in the nation will take advantage of the NCAA Division I Board of Directors approving a blanket waiver granting an additional year of eligibility to former junior college transfers in light of the preliminary injunction against the NCAA in the Diego Pavia lawsuit. The waiver extends an extra year of eligibility, which Abe Camara is taking advantage of.”

I don’t understand this; he has played four full seasons of FBS football at TCU (21-24) so why does he get a fifth simply because he played before that at JC. The Covid freebie year was 2020, before his four years at TCU.

Correct. He is getting an extra year under the rule change.

This is getting nuts. For the record, I think Pavia should not get another year either, if he played 4 (including a juco).

Regardin Abe: some say the tweet was deleted?

This will be interesting. I think the intent of NCAA waiver following the Pavia ruling was to only give an extra year to guys who lost a year or more of NCAA eligibility because of the rule that Juco years counted. Camara didn’t lose a year because of Juco (I guess because of the Covid waiver?). But the wording of the memo to schools announcing the waiver doesn’t expressly say that they had to lose a year of eligibility because of Juco play. Just says they had to compete at a Juco for a year or more, and then otherwise have exhausted their NCAA eligibility this season. Which Camara did. Could see it going either way, but I bet they give it to him.
