Well if we do make the change, surely we don't have to pay the whole amount at one time. Paying 7 million a year is doable especially if not making the change it will cost you much more in lost ticket sales, club seat sales, luxury box sales, donations, and sponsorships. I mean who want to shell out big bucks for this? It's one thing to get by a better team, but we are losing to teams that are not better but better coached.

It was so depressing. I watched the SMU game today just so I could see an O-line and D-line who actually gives a

Our D feels like one of the Kansas defenses of old...

No we don’t need to stop but TCU is like some people I know that will go down in flames before admitting they were wrong.
GP was failing as a head coach his last few years and not adapting his coaching style nor staff. Add in the NIL and the kindler gentler generation and it’s just too many negatives for him. I wish he went out like Saban did but he also never had his resources.

Or …GP had a few seasons over a long career that were 500ish and then came back with 10 or 11 or 12 wins. He may well have done the same in 2022. We will never know. All the experts on this board have more than been proven wrong. GP can x and O as well or better than everyone. He didn’t suddenly become stupid. All this “the game passed him by” is Monday morning QBing by mostly internet losers who have never played or coached.

Maybe, maybe not, but I certainly know, he NEVER EVER x’d and o’d a scheissing wheel route his entire tenure.

He was great in his prime but too many people are forgetting or misremembering how inept it was after 2014.

This must be Mrs. Patterson. It happens man, coaches grow stale and a change is needed. It just so happened Dykes was probably not the answer. College football has also drastically changed since 2014-2015.

Timing wouldn’t have been ideal I think and he certainly won’t come now but we should’ve gone after Curt Cignetti. Seems like that guy can coach.

Wrong! Thank you for making my point. 2015 11-2, 2017 11-3, COVID year 6-4 with a couple of very close losses. You sir are the one misremembering.if you are wrong on the facts just make it up.

I was sort of thinking that, but if we finish with something like 4 wins, can we really afford to keep these coaches thru 2028 while the program sinks further?
Right now, we’re 8-10 since the Georgia game and I doubt we’ll be favored in any of our remaining 6 games. There are already a number of players who appear to be giving less than a 100% effort.
We’re just gonna have to see what happens.
The University has set forth a growth plan that came to life at the Rose Bowl. The bold new growth plan depends on brand visibility given it by a winning football program in a big time conference. I'm guessing the enrollment and AAU plans have them dreaming of Being the Texas team in the Big10. TCU can't afford to wait out a losing HCSD contract and still achieve it's long range goals.

So, so wait, so two years, wait, my mistake, 2 and a sorta half years out of 6, proves your point? Also, LOSSES ARE LOSSES REGARDLESS OF HOW CLOSE.

Oh man, thanks, I needed a laugh this weekend. Appreciate it.
