I know others have too like David Porter, but why do they continue to give this number 14 out? isn’t number 14 destined for the rafters? Crazy if not.
Do they retire numbers in college football? I didn’t think so.I know others have too like David Porter, but why do they continue to give this number 14 out? isn’t number 14 destined for the rafters? Crazy if not.

Some numbers on some teams are handled with great care...Do they retire numbers in college football? I didn’t think so.
Dalton doesn’t meet the bar? Too many losses? Fiesta bowl axe to grind? We have only retired 3 numbers and all are in the College HOF and two of the three are in the Pro HOF so the bar is pretty high.
At a certain point you just don't have enough numbers.Dalton doesn’t meet the bar? Too many losses? Fiesta bowl axe to grind?
guys, we’re not alabama! At a certain point you just don't have enough numbers.
I've seen all of the penalty flags for duplicate jerseys on the field that I need to see for a lifetime as a TCU fan.
The “two number twos” debacle occurred a few times on vacations when our kids were younger.College football rosters are so much bigger than the NFL, to the point where numbers are often doubled up on even in the same year (remember the infamous "two number 2's" debacle
IIRC #5 isn’t “officially retired,” but it won‘t be issued unless LT approves it.does anyone wear 5? Even if not formally retiring it u can informally retire it. i dunno.

I like Andy Dalton but if you really want to retire another number I’d argue Bob Lilly should come first. He’s in both College & Pro HOF.Dalton doesn’t meet the bar? Too many losses? Fiesta bowl axe to grind?
