For reasons passing understanding, somebody in the mid-80s thought it would be a good idea to develop and market a doll for boys. They called it “My Buddy.” Didn’t do well, but the TV commercial was memorable and unavoidable for a while there. Pretty sure Chucky was a My Buddy doll.
