Kansas basketball cheating

the ncaa is staying as far away from this as they can because the elephant in the room is not money given to players.

how much money do the shoe companies pay the coaches and the universities and if you think that has no impact on the lack of action by the ncaa on any of this then you still believe the ncaa is all about amateur athletics
Not only that but in sports like basketball, kids have options to play overseas while making a bunch of money. It’s either look away and keep the best talent in college as long as they can or, come down down on schools and force kids away.

That's a great point. The NCAA has far less "leverage" exactly because of this.

Many major programs are doubtlessly conducting their recruiting in such a manner. Cleverly managing to camouflage

their efforts in order to avoid detection. In past such cases, alumni have generally been heavily involved.

they aren't trying to hide a damn thing,

it is an accepted and expected business practice among the top tier kids

I do think there some merit to the idea that you pay to win national titles not to keep them... once you get that titled and the financial/exposure that comes with it... you can get elite recruits at a much cheaper rate... That’s where Bama is at and why it’s probably costing A&M a lot to more to play
