Help a white brother out— do I season the turkey before or after I fry it?
Many years ago my dad had rather a long-term business commitment in Tyler, Texas. One Thanksgiving a grateful customer gifted him a smoked turkey from Greenberg's, a local company. It instantly became a family favorite, replacing my mother's oven-roasted turkey or chicken for the Thanksgiving-Christmas season. I can think of no better way (speaking food-wise) to make the holiday season worth remembering. After four decades of living and traveling overseas I'm thinking maybe this year it's time to order another one.

For anyone who has no military in their family/friend circles—this is a free gift, enjoy. Perhaps you’ll join us to watch the Army/Navy game, doesn’t matter which side you cheer for. ALL are on same team.

Love it. Game is a national holiday on our family.

I had posted the thread in years past. Will try to remember to do it this week.

Can't give an opinion on that product but I can tell you that I started smoking turkey breasts for Thanksgiving four years ago.

After one year it was the favorite for all except my SIL, who hadn't tried it but thought she wouldn't care for it. Last year she did try and it's her favorite now too. Works well for us to smoke a turkey breast and cook a full turkey in the oven.

Went to the game this year. Not the outcome I wanted, but what a great experience. Sat by a 2-Star General over DevCom, watched my son and fellow classmates crush the Cadet walkout, and soaked in the experience. Going again next year for my sons last year.

A life-long memory.
How was the fly-by?
