FWST: Why TCU men’s basketball team isn’t playing in a postseason tournament

I never said that. Ever. I’ve simply said it’s time to make a move.

So far the only reason anyone can give me to keep Dixon is three tournament appearances and we can’t do better. That’s a terrible resume.

I give up.
If that is truly your argument...start naming coaches with a better resume, that TCU can get as their head coach.

I'll hang up and listen.

Most people feel Dixon deserves a rebuild after three straight NCAA trips which hasn’t been done before. He has some talent lined up. I would like to see us get bigger and more physical in the post.

That is my argument. No one can tell me what he's done here other than 3 tourney appearances, and he's better than the last group of guys. All while ignoring almost a decade of failing to be competitive in the conference. Here, just in case you need a visual:

And I already said it, it's not my job to name a coach. That's what our AD gets paid millions to identify and hire. You're acting like this is a unique opinion or something. I'm not saying Buddie has to hire a national championship coach, but if he can't find a guy that can get at least a few winning season in conference play, then he's a terrible AD.

Championship coach, hard. Competitive coach, not hard.

I guess Buddie is like you and many on here - content with mediocrity.

nothing against Allette but TCU needs a true point guard. He played hard but you need a real distributor. Keep the rest of the young guys and find a few transfers who fit what he is trying to do. Dixon is a great coach in my opinion but you still need the talent.

I look at this like COVID, the shot maybe worse than the virus. You can fire Dixon, but you are probably going to land someone worse.

Supposedly the hire at Minnesota (which has hired numerous coaches over the last several years, rather than trying other ways to improve the program).
Niko Medved announced as HC at Minnesota. They've gone through lots of coaches; we'll see if this works well...

I understand that the Las Vegas tournament had prize money paid directly to the players on the team in terms of NIL. Can't believe they just said ef-it. We're not even going to try.
