TCU’s best offensive player has not announced if he will play in the team’s bowl appearance, and team officials have not heard a word about Savion Williams returning for one more game.

Go with “Doubtful.”

Keep on eye on Williams’ social media activity for what now is the standard Chat GPT post of the player professing their undying love and devotion to their team, teammates, coaching staff and university with the kicker, “With that being said, I am declaring for the NFL Draft.”

The way he does his job, he could do it until he’s a hundred years old. Takes almost zero thought or effort.
Fact. . . As a qualifier, I haven't read one of his dreadful, "articles," in years, but when I did, I literally don't think I ever read one that didn't have grammatical, spelling, factual or structural errors. A horrifying thing considering he went to one of the best, if not the best, J-schools in the country. IDK who he had to blow to take a degree from KU, but clearly the lessons there didn't stick with him.

A lot of problem with that is having to self-edit but still should be more careful with what you post under your byline. Stephen Johnson can be just as bad.

Yeah that was a good article.
Although it did contain a grammatical error... otherwise, a good and fair summary. Again, credit where it's due: as Muck noted, imagining the finish we had in our last six games from where we were at mid-season was impossible. It was well done by all involved, Johnny Tape-fingers first and foremost. It would be nice not to start 3-3 next year and give up 66 to SMU, but if the best time to start winning is last week the second best time is this week.

Indirectly related, the MSN wire republication of this article has Brett McMurphey's bowl projections linked (here). He has us playing Rutgers. That would be fine by me. I'd like a major conference team that is beatable. I'm not saying we would beat them because who knows what players we'll even have available, I'd just like to see the season end on a positive note. With our three top receivers (one of whom is also our top running back) likely not playing, we probably don't want a matchup that is too challenging.

Was I supposed to type something here?
It's funny to watch the adulation roll in like a warm, comfortable wave. Every one seemingly forgets that this bunch had Spring, Summer, 2-A-Days, then two easy games to figure out 1.) Who to play, and 2.) Will the choices be effective. They failed spectacularly at this most basic requirement, given all the lead time and preparation needed.

Did they change things? Yes. Were the changes effective? Yes. Did their inexplicable blindness to the reality of their scheme and personnel destroy the first half of the season? Yes. Did it take calls for their heads to be placed upon pikes before they made these changes? Yes.

While it is nice to celebrate an 8 win season, let's remember how we got here because it wasn't a pretty ride.

Yeah I doubt that bowl is where we land. This guy has Boise not making the playoff as well.

It was a bumpy ride, it's too bad we couldn't win another game or two. We could have had we not collapsed down the stretch against UCF and found a way to finish against Baylor. I'd say we could have beat Houston had we not turned the ball over more but they pretty much beat us fair and square. Freakin Houston.

What's funny to me is listening to those (who obviously have it out for this coaching staff and/or AD and just want to [ hundin] about everything because of that) pretend that this program was winning 10+ games every year prior to their arrival, and conveniently forget the SEVEN seasons from 2012-2021 where we did not even win 8 games.
