‘No one comes to Texas for Fort Worth.’ SMU receiver Rashee Rice rips Fort Worth, TCU

Saturday’s football game between TCU and SMU will be the 100th meeting in the Iron Skillet rivalry, but with one player’s comments on Tuesday, he appeared to have jumped from out of the frying pan and into the fire.
“No one comes to Texas for Fort Worth. They come for Dallas,” Rashee Rice, a junior receiver at SMU, said about TCU’s home. And that was just a portion of what he had to say.
Typically, when it comes to commenting on opponents, players are often guarded heading into contests — especially rivalry matchups — for fear of providing the other side with bulletin-board material that can fuel a team or provide that little bit of extra incentive for players to silence the trash-talkers.
