Fire Joe Gillespie

I am very disappointed in the defense and the season but you have to put some of the blame on the players as well. They flat out gave up at times and that is not acceptable. Agree the coaching and the scheme were suspect though.
Yes the players deserve a lot of the blame. We had more penalties than all but 3 teams in the conference. We dropped a lot of passes. We made 65% of our FGs, only three teams were worse. Just dumb mistakes that had the staff pulling their hair out.

If they were going to fire him it would be done by now. If nothing comes out by tomorrow then I'm not feeling real good about all this. No need to wait unless there is some buyout that doesn't kick in until December 1st.
I’m not giving up yet but not looking great. Even if a critical date was involved you could get the announcement out of the way and have Gillespie recondition paper clips for a week or something.

I'd be with you if there were some recent evidence of dismissal of football coaches being handled well by TCU. Decisive action, one way or the other, is needed now. Limping along without clarity is a disservice to all.

Sonny wants to be fired after next year and get a buyout I guess.

Gillespie has proven he's a horrible coach. Looks like another dog [ Finebaum ] year next year.

I will never say I am a football coaching genius, but it does not take an Einstein to figure out that our defense is a big fat mess. There are plenty of coaches out there that would be a significant upgrade to what we now have at DC. I cannot believe a head coach would risk his career on the status quo.
Well, there are a lot of coaches who risk their careers by going against what they believe by trying to appease fans, which to me also doesn't make much sense.

And Yards Per Play Allowed, which I still think, while no stat is perfect, is probably the best way to assess a defense.

Texas...............4.9
Iowa State.....5.0
Oklahoma.....5.3
Texas Tech.....5.5
Kansas............5.6
UCF..................5.7
TCU..................5.7
K-State...........5.7
Houston........5.8
WVU...............5.8
BYU.................5.9
OSU................6.2
Baylor............6.6
Cincinnati....6.6

And Yards Per Play Offense

UCF..................7.0
Kansas............6.8
Oklahoma.....6.6
Texas...............6.4
Iowa State.....6.1
WVU................6.0
TCU..................6.0
OSU.................5.8
K-State...........5.7
Houston........5.5
Cincinnati.....5.4
Texas Tech....5.2
Baylor.............5.1
BYU..................4.6

Overall, I'd say that K-State and OSU (especially)were the TCU '22 of this year, teams that maxed out their potential, either by turnover luck and/or just being opportunistic. UCF was the opposite.

The Frogs were pretty good at home with the exception of Colorado (45) which was inexcusable. It's on the road or neutral field where they seem lost and give up Monster Plays over and over and over again. Then they throw in a few more for good measure.

Michigan - 45 (stopped the run, made key plays but there were guys running wide open deep)
Georgia - 65 (like they played with only 6 players and the other 5 had Red Cards)
Houston - 13 (bad team, fired coach)
Iowa St - 27 (this game turned Iowa St's season around)
K St - 41 (could have scored 200+ if they wanted)
Tech - 35 (could not make a stop on 3rd or 4th down)
Oklahoma - 69 (if they had thrown deep on every play they would have 10 TD's on 11 plays)

Last 7 games away from home 295 points for an average of 42.15
