Sorry, guys that hit girls have no business playing college football, unless it's for baylor. Laying your hand on a woman is inexcusable.

But it would be OK for them to be accountants, salesmen etc?

Good Lord at the holier than thou crowd. He was punished and had to leave the school he wanted to play for. Getting away from his Arlington posse seems to have been a good thing.

Even if it is inexcusable, it is not unforgivable.

There is never a good reason for any man to smack around a woman, not to mention some of the other off field issues he had going on. He paid a hefty price for this behavior.  To say he does't deserve a chance to start over somewhere else - at his young age - isn't right either. Hopefully he learned his lesson and will not fall back into his old ways. He has a god given natural talent that few people ever dream to have. I hope he makes the most of it.
