GoFrogs: TCU Blanks Kansas State, 12-0
FORT WORTH Payton Tolle and Andrew Mosiello combined to hold Kansas State to five hits and struck out 13 to lead TCU to a 12-0 series-opening victory Friday night at Lupton Stadium. Sam Myers and Ryder Robinson combined for six hits and scored seven runs to lead the offense.

The Rundown
Anthony Silva worked a lead-off walk in the first and scored the first run of the game on a Kurtis Byrne sacrifice fly for a 1-0 lead.

Back-to-back four run innings for the Horned Frogs broke the game open. Luke Boyers led off the second with a home run to right. A two-out, bases-loaded single from Logan Maxwell pushed the lead to 4-0. Byrne collected his second RBI of the game for a 5-0 lead. The third inning featured RBIs for Silva, Karson Bowen, Maxwell and Byrne.

Sam Myers' one-out triple led to another TCU run as he scored on a Ryder Robinson base hit. Peyton Chatagnier's double followed to make it an 11-0 ballgame. Robinson scored his fourth run of the game in the sixth on an error after leading off the inning with a double to account for the final score.

The pitching duo of Payton Tolle and Andrew Mosiello battled base runners throughout the game. Kansas State ultimately stranded 12 base runners in the game. Tolle (5-3) tossed five shutout innings, allowing three hits, walking four and striking out seven. Mosiello finished the game with four scoreless, allowing two hits, walking four and striking out six to earn his first save at TCU.
