My buddy and I were actually debating this the other day. Who would you rather have quarterbacking your team: Andy Dalton or Max Duggan?
By the time he was an upperclassman I think Andy was the better QB, but in a situation where you need your QB to will his team to victory you would want Max.

[Also, it tells you everything you need to know about TCU football that there's no one on this list between 1961 and 1997.]

The one I think about is Kelly Blackwell. Not saying he belongs top ten but he was phenomenal.

Dalton above Hughes. Adding Kenneth Davis and Kai Aldrich somewhere towards the bottom are needed to make my top 10 list.

then the rest is a great debate about those players prob in the top 20.

The list is a good one. Needs to be a top 25 list to get all of the memorable ones mentioned above in the thread.
My list would include (not necessarily in this order);
Ladainian Tomlinson
Bob Lilly
Sammy Baugh
Davey O'Brien
Jim Swink
Ki Aldrich
The above should likely be everyone's top 6
Rags Matthews
Kenneth Davis
Darrell Lester
Aaron Schobel
Andy Dalton
Max Duggan
Josh Doctson
Mike Renfro
Kelly Blackwell
Bo Schobel
Jason Verrett
Norm Evans
Jerry Hughes
Jeremy Kerley
Norm Bulaich
I.B. Hale
Kyle Clifton
Sherrill Headrick
Michael Reeder

Honorable Mentions:
Jaden Oberkrom
Marcus Cannon
Jalen Reagor
Tank Carder
LaMarcus McDonald
Trevone Boykin
Josh Boyce
Marvin White
Jim Shofner
Don Floyd
Tommy Crutcher
Mickey McCarty
Guy Morris
Lyle Blackwood
Charlie Davis
Larry Brown
Hodges-Tomlinson
Phillip Epps
James Maness
Fred Washington
Barret Robbins
Ryan Tucker
Drew Coleman
Daryl Washington
So many more that are deserving...

I 100% get taking into team success/character/legacy, but I can't be alone in thinking Boykin could be above Duggan (and arguably Andy) in all time-rankings. Though I guess this ranking didn't come with any formal criteria.

He holds almost every major passing record for the school, and in my opinion was part of the 2nd best team in recent history only behind the rose bowl team.

*I would still have Andy 1 spot higher for consistency, Boykin's first 2 years were quite a rollercoaster.
