Is it even possible to become a college football blue blood with the size of our small school? Not knocking your statement, just curious. What other small private schools meet that description? We'll never be a huge school so where does that leave small schools in the playoffs? Left out over and over?

There are 17 D1 Privates:

USC is huge, plus Stanford is a biggie (including their grad school population), BYU is huge but the wacko-factor and lack of routing interest by non-Mormon folk makes them a long shot for BB status.

The only "blue blood" smallish private is Miami....but Notre Dame is just slightly larger than TCU attendance-wise and could be consider #2 D1P BB.

Yes, to answer your question, it is "possible" for TCU or BU to acheive BB status...IMO it'd take multiple B12 Championships (2-3 in 5 years time, and doing well --10+ wins and visable Bowl victories -- the other 2-3 years. Maybe more???)

NCAA basketball has Wichita State and others in the final four and that is okay.  But when you stack the committee, it doesn't matter who you are or how good.

We embarrassed the committee pretty much in the Peach.   I laughed a while at that.  Agree Flo State didn't belong in the final four.    Oh, since the Big 10 is overall, so terribly weak,   all Ohio State has to do, is play one tough game a year.  Just look how bad that conference is.   They will never be beat up at the end of the year.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that ESPN doesn't have the week 14 rankings, when we were at #3, on their site?

It goes from Week 13, when we were #5, then skips to theFinal Rankings that have us at #6.
