I'll give our guys credit for hanging in there but that game was well representative of our entire season. And I'll just add that I hate Baylor.

I agree in general but I don’t think we needed to pitch four guys at the end there
Also think we should’ve let Feltman pitch the tenth, but I guess there was injury concern?

You’re right. It was a great move. The two misplayed balls in the outfield with 2 outs is really what cost us this game.
Everything else that can be blamed is in hindsight.

We lost by one run in the Big 12 championship game. There were quite a few on here thought we would be 2 and out. Not the outcome we wanted, but these guys are Frogs.

Throwing Lodolo and wymer for one batter didn’t need to happen
The match up in college baseball has been shown to be statistically insignificant over and over vs the hot pitcher
And yes I realize if we played in another park it wouldn’t have mattered

Brutal way to lose and finish the season. Glad to see the effort by the team down the home stretch of this season in a year where so many things did not go right. Plenty of things you could second guess in this game but we gave ourselves a couple of chances to win it which is what you would hope for and was proud to see the team make it all the way to the championship game.
It didn't work out today but we will be back. This game will also give Coach some things to reflect on too. Hats off to the Seniors and thanks to everyone else for letting us enjoy some Frog baseball.

Having either Wymer or Lodolo to relieve Feltman would likely have been the difference between winning and losing, considering how the game ended

Yeah, I was questioning the pitching moves at the time. But I understand them too. You can't blame anything except [ Finebaum ]ty luck when two different times the sun causes what happened in the 9th.

And some who thought this was a .500 team. It was not and there’s no doubt in my mind that this is one of the top 40 teams playing ball right now even without our Friday starter and our best stick.
